A treatment fluid can include a base fluid and a lost-circulation package. The lost-circulation package can include plurality of particles of a first, second, and third lost-circulation material. The plurality of particles can be cellulose, sized calcium carbonate, and fibers. The particle size distribution of the plurality of particles can be selected such that the particles enter permeable areas of a subterranean formation to help prevent loss of the base fluid into the formation and allow most of the particles to pass through the screen of a shale shaker. The plurality of particles can have a particle size distribution of a d10 value in the range of 30 to 55 microns, a d50 value in the range of 60 to 100 microns, and a d90 value in the range of 130 to 190 microns. The treatment fluid can be used in an oil and gas operation.

Lost circulation material package with tailored particle size distribution

A method of drilling a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation, the method includes: during drilling operations, circulating in the wellbore a first aqueous drilling fluid composition including a modified starch and a calcium carbonate wherein the calcium carbonate has a first predetermined particle size; during the circulating, measuring one or more parameters to create a set of measured parameters; and during the circulating, responsive to one or more parameters of the set of measured parameters, changing the calcium carbonate with another calcium carbonate of a different particle size to obtain a second aqueous drilling fluid composition, wherein the first and second predetermined particle sizes are, independently, a dparticle size of about 1.0 &#x3bc;m to about 150 &#x3bc;m.

An example method includes introducing an acidic treatment fluid into the well; wherein the acidic treatment fluid comprises an acid and a first aqueous base fluid. Methods and systems for modeling the efficiency of fluid transfer between a wellbore and containers during a displacement operation. In one embodiment, the methods and systems may include providing a fluid transfer model based on constraints determined from data obtained from a wellbore servicing system, wherein the fluid transfer model comprises expected properties of the wellbore servicing system at one or more intervals during a fluid displacement operation, selecting containers for transferring a wellbore servicing fluid to a wellbore based on the expected properties, selecting containers for transferring a return fluid from the wellbore based on the expected properties, determining actual properties of the wellbore servicing system from data obtained from the wellbore servicing system, comparing the expected properties and the actual properties, and if the expected properties are different from the actual properties, modifying at least one of the expected properties of the wellbore servicing system.

Some embodiments herein comprise providing a treatment fluid comprising an aqueous base fluid, an acid, a permeability modifier, and a permeability modifier deactivator; providing an injection well having a first treatment zone comprising a first aqueous formation permeability, wherein the first treatment zone comprises formation damage; introducing the treatment fluid into the injection well, so as to contact the acid, the permeability modifier, and the permeability modifier deactivator with the first treatment zone; reacting the acid with the first treatment zone so as to repair a portion of the formation damage; reacting the permeability modifier with the first treatment zone so as to cause the first aqueous formation permeability to adopt a second, lesser aqueous formation permeability; and contacting the permeability modifier deactivator with the permeability modifier so as to deactivate the permeability modifier and restore the first treatment zone to about the first aqueous formation permeability.
