In one aspect, a system for endovascular treatment of a blood vessel includes a control unit, an ultrasound device, an actuator, and a catheter having a treatment portion. The ultrasound device is communicatively coupled to the control unit. The ultrasound device includes an ultrasound probe having a subject contact surface. The actuator is coupled to the ultrasound probe and is operable to move the subject contact surface of the ultrasound prove relative to a treatment zone of a subject. The control unit is configured to determine a position of the treatment portion of the catheter as the catheter is advanced through the blood vessel, and move the subject contact surface of the ultrasound probe relative to the treatment zone of the subject with the actuator to follow the position of the catheter as the catheter is advanced through the blood vessel.

Systems, methods, and catheters for endovascular treatment of a blood vessel

An apparatus for demonstrating the use of a medical device includes a body adapted for receiving the medical device. The body includes at least a portion adapted for viewing the medical device when positioned in the body. A cover is provided for selectively covering the portion of the body adapted for viewing the medical device. A kit and related methods are also disclosed.

Catheter structures for reducing fluoroscopy usage during endovascular procedures

A method of treating a patient includes providing an implantable vessel filter including a plurality of legs and center-post, inserting the filter into a delivery assembly, and deploying the filter at a desired location in a patient's body. One or more of the legs may have a hook at a distal end thereof and the center-post includes a grooved distal section to receive the hooks. The filter legs transition from a compressed configuration to an expanded configuration during deployment.

Non-entangling vena cava filter

A filter delivery device for implanting a vessel filter within a blood vessel of a patient's body. The filter delivery device includes a mechanism for preventing hooks and/or legs on a vessel filter from entangling with each other while the vessel filter is loaded within the delivery device. In one variation, the filter delivery device includes a delivery catheter with grooves at the distal end lumen opening. When a vessel filter with radially expanding legs is compressed and inserted into the distal end of the delivery catheter, the hooks on the distal end of the legs are received and separated by the corresponding grooves on the delivery catheter. In another variation, a pusher rod, with a receptacle for receiving the hooks, is positioned within a delivery catheter to prevent the entanglement of the hooks and/or legs of a filter loaded within the delivery catheter.

Filter delivery system

Apparatuses and methods for coating and/or loading a medical device with a therapeutic agent prior to or during the placement of the medical device within the patient's body. In one variation, the medical device is coated and/or loaded with a therapeutic agent while the device is positioned in a delivery apparatus. In another variation, the delivery apparatus comprises a reservoir for retaining a therapeutic agent. The user may release the therapeutic agent from the reservoir prior to or during the placement of the device to coat and/or load the device with the therapeutic agent.

A first set of legs coupled proximally to the hub have a first length, each of the first set of legs translating from a collapsed state in a filter compressed configuration to an extended state in a filter expanded configuration. A second set of legs coupled proximally to the hub have a second length longer than the first length, each of the second set of legs including a hook positioned at a distal end thereof, each of the second set of legs translating from a collapsed state in the filter compressed configuration to an extended state in the filter expanded configuration, each hook received in the grooved distal section in the filter compressed configuration and penetrating a wall of a vessel in the filter expanded configuration.
