An electric motor, in particular for an oil pump, comprising a rotor and a stator, wherein the stator has through-openings, which are continuous in the axial direction, for screw elements, and comprising a functional support, which is arranged on an end face with respect to the axial direction of the stator and which has a contoured contact section for the stator and screw receiving areas for the screw elements. The screw receiving areas protrude out of the contoured contact section for the stator in the axial direction, and the screw receiving areas are received in the through-openings.

The invention relates to an electric motor () comprising a switching unit () having a number of contact wires () arranged in relation to a connection ring () for coil ends of a stator winding, and comprising an annular frame part () having a number of sockets () into each of which an insulation-displacement contact () with an insulation-displacement slot () can be inserted or is inserted, between two insulation-displacement limbs () for making terminal contact with at least one w ire end () of the contact wires (), said sockets () each comprising a socket slot (), on opposing socket walls (), which is flush with the insulation-displacement slot () of the insulation-displacement contact () plugged into said socket (), and the two socket walls () of each socket () each have a first clamping contour () protruding into the socket slot (), for each wire end () received in the socket slot ().

A stator of an electrical machine, more particularly an electric motor of a motor vehicle, comprising: a laminated stator core, which has a number of stator teeth and is provided with a rotating field winding, which is arranged on the stator teeth and comprises a plurality of phases, the phases of the rotating field winding being formed from a continuously wound winding wire; and a connecting device having a number of U-shaped sockets corresponding to the number of phases, said sockets being provided for each holding one insulation displacement contact as a point of connection of the winding wire to phase terminals on a stator end face, each socket having two vertical U legs and a contact slot arranged therebetween for receiving the winding wire, one of the two vertical U legs of the socket being longer in an axial direction than the other vertical U leg in each case.
