Novel system and methodology for protecting privacy of a computer device's user. A privacy protection device interacts with the computer device to enable the user to operate in multiple private modes. The system involves a data storage coupled to the privacy protection device, via a secure link, such as a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) tunnel that provides an encryption protocol. The data storage is divided into multiple storage sections corresponding to the multiple private modes. Each section is configured for storing encrypted data supporting a particular private mode. The privacy protection device enables the user to set a selected private mode and runs software applications that use the data from the storage section corresponding to the selected mode.

Privacy protection system

An electrically powered vehicle has a motor, controller and power supply contained within a wheel compartment. A cylindrical stator frame is fixed on the wheel axle, with an inner surface of the stator frame defining a space for housing the power supply and controller circuitry. A plurality of electromagnet stator segments are mounted on an outer surface of the stator frame. A cylindrical rotor frame is coupled to the axle through bearings. An inner surface of the rotor frame supports a plurality of permanent magnets that surround the stator segments to form a radial air gap therebetween. Mounted to the outer surface of the rotor frame by appropriate supporting structure is a vehicle tire.

Electrically powered vehicles or bicycles having motor and power supply contained within wheels

A process of controlling the production of enzymatic protein hydrolysate from cold water animals, containing up to 90% free amino acids, cold fish oil, hydroxilaptite (calcium orthophosphate), proteins, peptides, vitamin, minerals and calcium salts of phosphorus. The process provides a greater degree of refining than existing technology through the use of acid and alkaline denaturation steps, in combination with advanced separation and drying technology. The new drying technology results in a higher-quality, less expensive mixture than was previously possible.

A rotary electric motor in which rotor and stator members are each configured as annular rings, concentric with respect to each other, about an axis of rotation. Either of the rotor or stator members is formed of groups of electromagnet poles, the groups substantially equidistantly distributed along the angular extent of the annular ring, each of the groups comprising magnetic material magnetically isolated and separated from the other groups. The other member comprises a plurality of permanent magnet poles substantially equidistantly distributed with alternating magnetic polarity along the angular extent of the radial air gap formed between the members, the permanent magnet poles having a common magnetic return path.

A rotary brushless electric motor is formed within a cylindrical rotor housing structure that surrounds an annular stator ring. The stator is formed of a plurality of individual power modules and corresponding core segments, each module including electrical control and drive elements supplied by a power source incorporated within the stator. Such parallel architecture provides relatively independently controlled functionality for each module. Each module and stator core segment can be individually installed and removed without disturbing the other units. Should a particular module or stator core segment fail, it can be easily removed for repair or replacement and reinstallation.

Reconfiguration of stator winding sections of each phase of a multiphase motor is controlled for successive ranges of speed during which the motor can be expected to operate to obtain optimum operating efficiency throughout the entire operating range. All winding sections for a stator element are energized throughout the motor operating speed range but connected, through appropriate switches, in different circuit configurations for respective portions of the speed range. The switches are activated by a controller in response to a sensed motor speed signal. The reconfiguration of stator winding sections may be incorporated within a motor control system that is adaptive to control various motor parameters in response to sensed conditions as well as user input commands.

Electrically powered vehicles having motor and power supply contained within wheels

A motor has a rotor and a stator. The stator is made up of a plurality of separate electromagnet core segments disposed coaxially about an axis of rotation. The core segments are affixed, without ferromagnetic contact with each other, to a non-ferromagnetic support structure. The rotor is configured in an annular ring that at least partially surrounds the annular stator to define two parallel axial air gaps between the rotor and stator respectively on opposite axial sides of the stator. Permanent magnets are distributed on each side of the rotor annular ring that faces an air gap. Preferably, each stator electromagnet core segment has a pair of poles aligned in a direction generally parallel to the axis of rotation with pole faces generally perpendicular to the axis of rotation. A winding is formed on a core portion that links the poles to produce, when energized, magnetic poles of opposite polarity at the pole faces.

Rotary electric motor having at least two axially air gaps separating stator and rotor segments

A rotary electric motor is formed within a cylindrical rotor housing structure that surrounds an annular stator ring. The permanent magnet rotor is configured in an annular ring coaxial with, and outside of, the stator. The stator ring contains a plurality of wound core segments that are ferromagnetically isolated from each other. The core segments are secured to a rigid skeletal structure that is centrally fixed to a stationary shaft. The stator support structure is formed of spine members that extend radially away from the center. U-shaped plates at the outer ends of the spine members engage adjacent pair of stator segments. Within the inner periphery of the stator ring, space is provided within which motor control circuitry and battery power supply may be incorporated.

A rotary direct current electric motor in which rotor and stator members are each configured as annular rings, concentric with respect to each other, about an axis of rotation. Either of the rotor or stator members is formed of groups of electromagnet pole pairs, the groups substantially equidistantly distributed along the angular extent of the annular ring, each of the groups comprising magnetic material magnetically isolated and separated from the other groups. The other member includes a plurality of permanent magnet poles substantially equidistantly distributed with alternating magnetic polarity along the angular extent of the radial air gap formed between the members, the permanent magnet poles having a discontinuous magnetic return path, thereby dividing the member into magnetically isolated groups of permanent magnet poles.

A rotary electric motor in which a stator comprises a first number of permanent magnet poles substantially similar to each other in configuration and spaced substantially equidistantly with alternating polarity along a radial air gap, and a rotor that comprises a second number of salient poles distributed along the radial air gap, the salient poles divided in groups that have magnetic circuits isolated from each other. The radial distance between rotor salient poles of each group and the radial difference between the stator permanent magnet poles are substantially the same.
