A door/window opening detector including an antenna having at least a first resonant frequency and a second resonant frequency associated therewith, the second resonant frequency being different from the first resonant frequency, the antenna having the first resonant frequency when in proximity to a door/window having a given dielectric constant and the second resonant frequency when not in proximity to a door/window having the given dielectric constant, and an alarm indication generator operable, in response to receiving an indication that a resonant frequency of the antenna has changed from the first resonant frequency to the second resonant frequency, for generating an alarm indication of opening of the door/window.

Single-element door/window opening detector

An article proximity indicator including at least one antenna having at least first and second ranges of impedance, the second range of impedance being at least partially different from the first range of impedance, the at least one antenna having a first impedance within the first range of impedance when in proximity to an article having a given dielectric constant and having a second impedance within the second range of impedance and not within the first range of impedance when not in proximity to the article having the given dielectric constant, and a proximity indication generator operable, in response to receiving an indication that the impedance of the at least one antenna has changed from being within the first range of impedance to being within the second range of impedance, for generating an indication indicating that the at least one antenna is not in proximity to the article.

Single-element door\window opening detector

A wireless door intrusion detection assembly including a magnet component installed on a door, and a fixed magnetic contact wireless transceiver component installed on a door frame corresponding to the door, opposite the magnet component, the fixed magnetic contact wireless transceiver component including a two-way transceiver element operable for two-way wireless communication between the fixed magnetic contact wireless transceiver component and an intrusion alarm system, an antenna facilitating the two-way wireless communication between the fixed magnetic contact wireless transceiver component and the intrusion alarm system, and an antenna ground reference plane, opposite the antenna.
