Disclosed herein are systems and methods for autonomously navigating a vehicle along furrows in a field. Also disclosed herein are systems and methods for autonomously turning a vehicle at the end of a furrow within a designated turnaround area to begin navigating along a second furrow. Turns may be determined in real time using sensors to determine target positions, and the turns may be dynamically updated while being executed. These systems and methods may be used for automated crop management, such as autonomous weeding, planting, spraying, or harvesting.

Systems and methods for autonomous field navigation

Described herein are high intensity illumination systems including lighting arrays of lights, such as light emitting diodes, configured to illuminate a surface. The lighting arrays are configured to illuminate the surface with illumination comparable to or multiple times brighter than the ambient illumination, such as sunlight. Also described herein are methods of using a high intensity illumination system to illuminate a surface for applications including imaging, object detection, and object localization. The systems and methods described herein may be applied to a range of industries including farming, agriculture, construction, and autonomous vehicles.

High intensity illumination systems and methods of use thereof

Disclosed herein are methods, devices, modules, and systems which may be employed for accurate targeting of objects. A method of point-to-point targeting may be implemented by systems with two or more sensors to locate an object and coordinate a handoff between the two or more sensors. These methods, devices, modules, and systems may be used for automated crop cultivation or maintenance. Devices disclosed herein may be configured to locate, identify, and autonomously target a weed with a beam, such as a laser beam, which may burn or irradiate the weed. The methods, devices, modules, and systems may be used for agricultural crop management or for at-home weed control.

Systems and methods for point to point object matching and targeting

A method is disclosed wherein two sheets of a flexible, inelastic substance are sealed along a periphery thereof, creating an interior reservoir preferably containing two or more elongate chambers, organized normal to an axis of traction. The disclosed axis of traction is an axis along which the disclosed device reduces length as a medium is introduced into the reservoir. Further disclosed is a method by which one or more bladders of flexible, inelastic substance are woven through two or more preferably parallel strips or strings. The bladders are adapted to receive a preferably gaseous or liquid medium. As the medium is moved into the bladders, the flexible strips or stings are deformed to cause the strips or strings to have a reduced length along the axis of traction.

Tensile actuator

A system classifies a compressed image or predicts likelihood values associated with a compressed image. The system partially decompresses compressed JPEG image data to obtain blocks of discrete cosine transform (DCT) coefficients that represent the image. The system may apply various transform functions to the individual blocks of DCT coefficients to resize the blocks so that they may be input together into a neural network for analysis. Weights of the neural network may be trained to accept transformed blocks of DCT coefficients which may be less computationally intensive than accepting raw image data as input.

Leveraging JPEG discrete cosine transform coefficients in neural networks

As the compressed medium is moved into the bladders, the flexible strips or stings are deformed to cause the strips or strings to have a reduced length along the axis of traction.

Methods and systems for enabling at least two parties to create a potential for associating communications devices are provided. In a first case, a first communications device has a first network address and a second communications device has a second network address. A server receives a first input pattern from the first communications device, a second input pattern by the server from the second communications device whereby the second input pattern may be created by the same human operator. Alternatively, the input patterns may be digitized representations of ambient or environmental sound or optical signals. When the server determines that the first input pattern substantively matches the second input pattern, the server issues a reference number and associates the first network address and the second network address with the reference number. The server may then communicatively connect the first device and the second device upon receipt of the reference number.
