An ultrasound flow measurement apparatus () for determining the flow rate of a fluid flowing in a line () is provided having at least one measurement path () at which a first ultrasonic transducer () and a second ultrasonic transducer () are arranged opposite one another with the flowing fluid between them, and having an evaluation unit that is configured to calculate the flow rate from a time of flight difference of ultrasonic pulses along the measurement path () in the direction with the flow () and against the flow (). The ultrasonic transducers (-) here are positioned such that a specific part pulse is isolated in time in a received signal of the respective receiving ultrasonic transducer (-), with the part pulse corresponding to a direct sound, a reflected sound, an axially broken fluid sound, or an azimuthally broken fluid sound.

Ultrasound flow measurement apparatus and method for determining the flow rate

An ultrasound flow measurement apparatus is provided having a plurality of ultrasonic transducers for determining the flow rate of a fluid flowing in a line, said ultrasound flow measurement apparatus having a plurality of measurement paths at which two respective ones of the ultrasonic transducers are arranged opposite one another with the flow being arranged therebetween and with a mutual axial spacing in the longitudinal direction of the line and having an evaluation unit that is configured to calculate the flow rate from time of flight differences of ultrasonic signals along the respective measurement paths in the direction with the flow and against the flow. The measurement paths have different axial offsets here.

The invention relates to a flow measuring device for measuring a parameter of a flow formed from a fluid which flows in a main direction of flow in a line, comprising a first line section for conducting the fluid out of the main direction of flow; a second line section for conducting the fluid back into the main direction of flow; a line connection section for connecting the first line section to the second line section; at least one ultrasound device for transmitting and/or receiving ultrasound waves; and an evaluation unit for carrying out a transit-time difference measurement and for determining the parameter, wherein at least one swirl generating unit for generating a swirl is provided which is arranged downstream of the first line section such that the generated swirl is directed in a direction which is opposite to a direction of a swirl present downstream of the first line section and upstream of the swirl generation unit.
