A rolling-element bearing cage having a central axis of rotation includes a first cage ring having an axial extension and at least one snap arm disposed directly on the extension, and a second cage ring having an attachment region to which the at least one snap arm is snapped. The attachment region is located at a first distance from the central axis of rotation. A portion of each of the at least one each snap arm of the first cage ring is located at a second distance from the central axis of rotation, the second distance being less than the first distance.

The rolling bearing provides a first ring, a second ring and at least one row of rolling elements arranged therebetween. Each of the first and second rings include an inner bore having an outer surface and at least one raceway for the row of rolling elements formed on one of the inner bore and outer surface. The first ring provides at least one part ring delimiting the raceway, and at least one sleeve secured to the part ring and delimiting at least partly the other of the inner bore and outer surface of the first ring. The rolling bearing further provides at least one optical fiber sensor mounted inside at least one circumferential groove formed on the first ring and passing through at least one optical fiber sensor passage opening into the circumferential groove.

A two-part bearing cage for a rolling bearing includes a first cage part and a second cage part. Each cage part includes an annular base body with a plurality of bars extending axially from the annular base body and/or a plurality of complementarily designed bar receptacles. The bars of one cage part engage in the bar receptacles of the other cage part to form cage bars for defining cage pockets configured to receive the rolling elements of the rolling bearing. Each bar includes a claw and each bar receptacle includes a connection portion such that each connection portion and its corresponding claw form a snap joint.

First and second bearing cage halves each having an annular base body and a plurality of pins extending from the base body and a plurality of pin receptacles, the first and second cage haves forming a bearing cage when the pins are received into the pin receptacles. A body of sacrificial material is located on the pins and/or in the pin receptacles which body is configured to be melted ultrasonically to join the first cage half to the second cage half and form the bearing cage.

An angular contact ball bearing cage includes a plurality of pockets. At least one (imaginary) sectional plane extends through a first pocket, and the sectional plane is located such that an axis of rotation of the angular contact ball bearing cage lies in the sectional plane. The axis of rotation is an axis about which the angular contact ball bearing cage is configured to rotate in operation. A geometric centerpoint of the first pocket lies in the sectional plane, and an intersection of the sectional plane and a side of the first pocket includes a first portion that is not linear and that does not lie on the surface of a cone.

A two-part bearing cage for a rolling-element bearing includes first and second identical cage halves each including an annular base body, a plurality of pins extending axially from the annular base body, and a plurality of pin receptacles, each of the plurality of pin receptacles having a shape complementary to a shape of a pin. Each of the pins on one cage half engages into one of the receptacles of the other cage half to form bearing cage bridges and pockets between the bridges, and each of the receptacles includes a radially outwardly disposed, axially extending ring wall section that radially outwardly supports the pin received in that receptacle.
