A magnetic-inductive flowmeter with a measuring tube, a magnetic field generator and a measuring electrode in which its measuring electrodes are improved is achieved by the measuring electrode being formed of an outer electrode sheath of an electrically non-conductive plastic and of an inner electrode core of electrically conductive plastic, and by a method for producing the measuring electrode.

A magnetic-inductive flowmeter for measuring flow of a flowing medium, having a measuring tube, a magnetic field generator, at least one measuring electrode and a measuring section that is flat on one side having a planar measuring tube portion. Furthermore, the magnetic field generator has at least one coil core and a pole shoe. The magnetic-inductive flowmeter is improved compared to the prior art by several support lugs being present between the planar measuring tube portion and the pole shoe.

The invention relates to a magnetic-inductive flowmeter having a measuring tube (), a magnetic field generator () and a measuring electrode (). Thereby, the measuring tube () has a measuring section () that is flat on one side having a planar measuring tube portion, called portion () in the following, and the magnetic field generator () has a pole shoe (). A flowmeter that allows a high measuring accuracy, even under high pressure loads is achieved in that a support rib () is implemented on the planar measuring tube portion ().

A flowmeter for flow measurement of a flowing medium having a measuring tube and a measuring device housing that can be also used in fields in which magnetic-inductive flowmeters have not previously been used or used only on a small scale&#x2014;primarily due to costs is achieved by the provision a reinforcement structure is assigned to the measuring tube and/or the measuring device housing, wherein the reinforcement structure is formed of at least one reinforcement unit&#x2014;preferably of several reinforcement units. The reinforcement units are preferably bolt and tube arrangements received in through-passages or external recesses formed in the housing.

A magnetic-inductive flowmeter, having a plurality of functional units and a housing common to all the functional units, wherein each functional unit has a measuring tube, a magnetic field generating device, and two measuring electrodes, and wherein a virtual connecting line of the two measuring electrodes extends at least substantially at right angles to the direction of the magnetic field penetrating the measuring tube at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the measuring tube. In the housing, there is a common medium feed connection for the measuring tubes of all the functional units, a common power supply for the magnetic field generating device of all the functional units, and a common evaluation unit for the measuring electrodes of all the functional units. The magnetic field generating device has a field coil adjoined on both sides by a magnetic field guide part extending at right angles to the coil axis.

A flow meter for measuring the flow rate of a flowing medium has a plastic measurement tube for routing the medium and a connecting device for connecting an end of the measurement tube to an end of a plastic pipeline. So that measurement tube of plastic can be connected easily and to the plastic pipeline, the connecting device is formed by a heating means that is integrated into an inner wall of the end of the measurement tube and that melts at least the end of the measurement tube to thereby form a melted connection between the measurement tube and the pipeline.

A magnetoinductive flowmeter for measuring the flow rate of a moving medium includes a measuring tube conducting the medium, and an insert provided in the measuring tube. The insert consists of at least one first part and one second part which first part is introduced into the measuring tube from one end of the measuring tube while the second part, introduced into the measuring tube from the other end of the measuring tube, is joined with the first part in leak-proof fashion. The result is an easy-to-install insert that ensures secure and maintainable retention.

A transmitting and/or receiving head for a sonic flowmeter measuring moving fluids by the runtime method, with an enclosure, an ultrasonic transducer transmitting ultrasound signals into and/or receiving ultrasound signals from the moving fluid and with an ultrasound waveguide by way of which the ultrasound signals are injected into and/or extracted from the moving fluid. The transmitting and/or receiving head is particularly well suited to utilization in a sonic flowmeter for very hot fluids, especially hot gases, by virtue of the fact that it employs an ultrasound waveguide in the form of an elongated sonic funnel offering high thermal conduction resistance.

An ultrasonic waveguide for guiding an ultrasonic signal situated in a predetermined frequency range is illustrated and described. The ultrasonic waveguide according to the invention is characterized in that it has a coiled foil whose layer thickness is considerably less than the smallest wavelength of the ultrasonic signal in the predetermined frequency range in the foil material. The result is that ultrasonic signal interference and attenuation in the ultrasonic waveguide due to scattering and dispersion are largely avoided.

Ultrasonic waveguide

A device and a method for its manufacture, for magnetic-inductive measurement of the quantity of mixture flowing through a pipeline into which the device has been incorporated. The device includes a housing having a measuring tube with an electrically insulating lining therein. The lining substantially consists of wear-resistant, insulating ceramic material in the form of tiles applied on a layer of plastic material having a thickness between 3 and 10 mm. The joints between the tiles are filled with plastic material. The housing contains magnetic coils. A pair of electrodes are mounted in the measuring tube and extend through the wall of the measuring tube and are insulated in relation to it. Within the housing, the electrodes are connected to lines leading to measuring members for measuring the voltage difference generated in the flowing medium by the magnetic field of the magnetic coils.
