An implantable medical device is described. The implantable medical device includes an enclosure for receiving and hermitically sealing active components. A header is connected to the enclosure and encloses other components of the device. A communications antenna is encapsulated in a bio-compatible material and connected to an exterior surface of the enclosure. The communications antenna is electrically connected to the active components via an access window of the header. The access window is backfilled after the connections are made.

Encapsulation of external components in active implantable medical devices

The present disclosure relates to implantable medical devices having protective structures with integrated electrical interconnects. Particularly, aspects of the present disclosure are directed to a medical device that includes a first nest portion and a second nest portion mateable with the first nest portion to form a nest housing. The nest housing includes an interior surface and an exterior surface with a component cavity defined by the interior surface. An electronics module is disposed within a first region of the component cavity. A power source is disposed within a second region of the component cavity. An electrical interconnect is formed on or embedded within the first nest portion, the second nest portion, or a combination thereof. The electrical interconnect electrically connects the electronics module to the power source.

Protective structures with integrated electrical interconnects for active implantable medical devices

The present disclosure relates to implantable neuromodulation devices and methods of fabrication, and in particular to a separable high density connectors for implantable neuromodulation devices. Particularly, aspects of the present disclosure are directed to a medical device comprising an electronics module and a header for connecting the electronics module to a lead assembly. The header includes: a housing that includes (i) a cavity having a central axis or plane and an internal surface, and (ii) an opening aligned with the central axis or plane of the cavity, an array of retractable contacts extending from the internal surface towards the central axis or plane of the cavity, and an array of connection terminals on the housing, where each connection terminal of the array of connection terminals is: (i) electrically connected to the electronics module, and (ii) electrically connectable to a retractable contact of the array of retractable contacts.

Separable high density connectors for implantable device

A biocompatible electrical connection includes a substrate; a ferrule having a concentric flange at a first end of the ferrule; a first adhesive; and a second adhesive. The first adhesive adheres a first surface of the concentric flange of the ferrule to a surface of the substrate. The second adhesive fills an annular space between a hole in the substrate and the ferrule. The first adhesive or the second adhesive forms a conductive path on the surface of the substrate between the ferrule and a circuit pattern on the substrate.

Biocompatible electromechanical connection for ceramic substrate electronics for biomedical implant

A biocompatible electrical connection includes: a substrate; a ferrule having a concentric flange at a first end of the ferrule; a first adhesive; and a second adhesive. The substrate includes a hole having a diameter that is a specified amount larger than an outside diameter of the ferrule forming an annular space between the hole and the ferrule, the first adhesive adheres a first surface of the concentric flange of the ferrule to a first surface of the substrate, and the second adhesive fills the annular space between the hole and the ferrule.

Systems and methods for analyte testing and laboratory oversight

Embodiment includes of a method and a system of network based operation of an unmanned aerial vehicle is disclosed. One system includes a drone user machine, a drone control machine, and a drone control console. The drone control machine is interfaced with the drone user machine through a network, and the drone control machine is interfaced with a drone through the drone control console. The drone control machine operates to receive user commands from the drone user machine through the network, generate drone control commands which are provided to the drone control console for controlling the drone, wherein the drone control commands are generated based on the user commands, receive video from the drone control console that was generated by a camera located on the drone, and communicate the video to the drone user machine over the network, wherein the video is displayed on a display associated with the drone user machine.

Systems and methods for multi-analysis

Devices, systems and methods including a sonicator for sample preparation are provided. A sonicator may be used to mix, resuspend, aerosolize, disperse, disintegrate, or de-gas a solution. A sonicator may be used to disrupt a cell, such as a pathogen cell in a sample. Sample preparation may include exposing pathogen-identifying material by sonication to detect, identify, or measure pathogens. A sonicator may transfer ultrasonic energy to the sample solution by contacting its tip to an exterior wall of a vessel containing the sample. Devices, and systems comprising such devices, may communicate with a laboratory or other devices in a system for sample assay and analysis. Methods utilizing such devices and systems are provided. The improved sample preparation devices, systems and methods are useful for analyzing samples, e.g. for diagnosing patients suffering from infection by pathogens.

Systems and methods for sample preparation using sonication

A system has a drone session server to collect drone session information. A drone user machine is in a client relationship with the drone session server. A drone control machine is in a client relationship with the drone session server and a peer-to-peer relationship with the drone user machine. The drone control machine is configured to relay video data from a drone to the drone user machine via a peer-to-peer connection. The drone control machine evaluates user commands collected by the drone user machine that are relayed to the drone control machine via the peer-to-peer connection to produce enforced limits commands to maintain the drone within a three-dimensional geographical fence. The drone control machine sends autopilot commands to the drone to transport the drone from the three-dimensional geographical fence to a land site to complete a drone session.
