The invention relates to a dry cooling tower that replaces traditional metal finned tubes with rectangular polymer bags. Three spacers are positioned between adjacent polymer bags to restrict buckling and minimize airflow resistance. This configuration enhances structural stability and improves heat dissipation while significantly reducing manufacturing costs compared to conventional designs. The design optimizes thermal performance while maintaining efficient cooling operation in industrial applications.

Dry cooling tower

A cooking box functions by the supply of an external source of hot air with a temperature higher than 100° C. This external source of hot air is preferably a solar thermal collector of a flat-plate type or CSP (concentrating solar power) type. Auxiliary details in the cooking box allow to achieve high heat transfer parameters from the hot air to cooking utensils placed in the cooking box. The cooking box can comprise a PCM heat storage system for the application of stored heat for cooking or heating food, when the external hot air is not supplied.

This invention relates to a photovoltaic module intended to convert solar radiation energy in electricity, and, more specifically, to a concentrating photovoltaic module provided with a parabolic dish-shaped mirror and a small-size photovoltaic receiver positioned in the focal plane of this parabolic dish-shaped mirror and the focal spot is overlapped mostly by the photovoltaic receiver. The photovoltaic module is based on usage of combination of a two-phase thermosiphon, which includes a flexible sub-section designed as a bellows, with the parabolic dish-shaped mirror installed on the distal (lower) sub-section of the two-phase thermosiphon by the truss struts. A tracking manipulator is installed below the parabolic dish-shaped mirror and joined with a certain spot of a supporting structure of the parabolic dish-shaped mirror; it provides orientation of the axis of the dish-shaped mirror towards the sun.

Concentrating photovoltaic module

A photobioreactor with a microalgae's cultivation chamber in the form of a duct that is constructed from an inflatable sleeve from transparent polymer film; this inflatable sleeve excluding its terminal sections is sandwiched between a bank of frames with wire nettings from below and glass panes from above the inflatable sleeve, and it has a small inclination regarding the horizontal plane. The terminal sections of the inflatable sleeve are in fluid communication with two headers, which are used for supplying and removal of gaseous medium and suspension of microalgae into and out of the duct.

Photobioreactor

An integrated circuit (IC) can include multiple power domains that are served by a common power source. In an example, a first IC power rail can be coupled to the source and a first consumer circuit. A second IC power rail can be coupled to a second consumer circuit. The second IC power rail can receive a filtered power signal from an isolation module that is coupled between the first and second power rails. In an example, an isolation module includes an integrated inductor and a capacitor (e.g., a land-side capacitor). The integrated inductor can optionally include multiple spaced apart conductive layers that are electrically coupled. The integrated inductor can optionally include a series of conductive traces and plated through holes or vias that together provide a current path with multiple turns.

Isolation module for use between power rails in an integrated circuit

The invention relates to a field of open-flow solar collectors, and specifically to flat solar collectors with wetting the underneath sides of their solar radiation absorbing plates with liquid heat transfer medium. More specifically, the invention proposes the flat solar collector, which operates with relatively low flow rate of the heat transfer medium on the underneath side of the solar radiation absorbing plate, with flow in form of some rivulets. The invention describes some technical solutions, which restrict meandering rivulets' flow. The proposed flat solar collector can be applied for heating water or other liquids and for evaporation and concentration of aqueous solutions.

Disclosed are systems and methods useful in waste processing. Disclosed is the use of a regenerative thermal oxidation (RTO) unit for production of industrially useable steam. Disclosed are systems including a stripping unit associated with a regenerative thermal oxidation (RTO) unit so that the stripping unit provides fuel for the RTO unit and the RTO unit provides a stripping gas for the stripping unit. Disclosed are systems including an RTO unit providing steam to operate a vapor condensation (VC) unit.

Method and device for waste-water purification

A method for diagnosis includes capturing a sequence of two-dimensional ultrasound images of a moving organ within a body of a patient. At least one contour of the organ is identified in a succession of the images in the sequence and is processed to generate an output indicative of motion of the organ over time.

An invention proposes a photobioreactor with a cultivation chamber in the form of a shallow closed trough that is irradiated by the sun light. The bottom section of the shallow closed trough comprises an elongated polymer flexible film, which is arranged with small inclination to the horizontal plane; the middle longitudinal section of the elongated polymer flexible film plays a role of the bottom cover of the shallow closed trough. A bank of translucent or transparent flat rigid members, which are abutted in-line with a small inclination to the horizontal plane, provides required rigidity to the entire photobioreactor. The translucent or transparent flat rigid members are provided with longitudinal bottom spacers and joined with the lateral longitudinal sections of the elongated polymer flexible film. In addition, the translucent flat rigid members serve for closing the shallow trough from above.

The invention proposes a method of destruction of volatile organic and inorganic compounds in wastewater, this method includes following stages: stripping the aforementioned volatile compounds in a stripping-chemisorption column; preliminary heating the gaseous medium containing these volatile compounds in a first heat regenerator; thermal, flare or thermo-catalytic oxidation of the volatile compounds in circulating gaseous medium; cooling the gaseous medium in a second heat regenerator; chemisorption of acidic gases from the gaseous medium in the stripping-chemisorption column with stripping at the same time additional amount of the volatile compounds from the wastewater. After specific period, direction of the gaseous medium flow is alternated. The proposed method can be executed at elevated temperature. The invention includes as well systems realizing the proposed method.

Method and system of destruction of volatile compounds in wastewater

A cryosurgical instrument features a cryogen in liquid or liquid-gaseous (mist) form being supplied by a feeding lumen into the internal space of a cryotip at the distal end of the cryosurgical instrument. The distal section of the feeding lumen is helically coiled, so that an outer diameter of the helically coiled distal section fits an inner diameter of a cylindrical envelope of said cryotip, and said helically coiled distal section and said cylindrical envelope are in thermal contact.

Cryoprobes and a cryotherapy method. A cryoprobe includes: a shaft having a central axis, a tip at a first end, a male socket section at a second end opposite the first end, a cryogen feeding pipe extending from the tip through the male socket section along the axis, and a cryogen return passage extending from the tip through the male socket section; and a handle having a female socket adapted and configured to receive and connect with the male socket section in a quick connect manner, a vibration section that selectively causes vibration along the axis, a cryogen exhaust passage extending from the female socket to an exterior of the handle, and a cryogen supply tube connected to the female socket at an end of the tube.

Cryoprobe with vibrating mechanism

A cryoprobe for surgical and other treatments. The cryoprobe comprises an expandable section that performs displacement of a distal cryotip forwards when there is elevation of the operation pressure in the interior of the cryoprobe. Needle-wise metal elements are installed on the external side of the cryotip. These needle-wise elements are deflecting outwards by a deflecting member fastened on the distal edge of an external shaft of the cryoprobe. This allows a significant enlargement of the frozen volume of the treated tissue with the same operation temperature and the outer diameter of the cryoprobe. In another embodiment, the needle elements are formed in a displaceable metal sheath and a distal section of a cryotip and/or special protrusions on this distal section act as the deflecting member.

Cryogenic probe for treating enlarged volume of tissue

The invention proposes a cryosurgical instrument and its accessory system operating on the base of a refrigerant evaporation. The invention comprises combination of some technical solutions. Flow in a central lumen of the cryosurgical instrument has oscillating character; the refrigerant is provided on the internal surface of the distal cryotip in the form of separated portions. 2. The internal surface of the distal cryotip of the cryosurgical instrument is covered by a porous coating, which soaks completely one portion of the refrigerant. 3. Vapors obtained as a result of the refrigerant boiling on the porous coating of the cryotip are removed through the central lumen into the atmosphere. Combination of these technical solutions allows to construct a safely cryosurgical instrument with high freezing power and small outer diameter. The proposed cryosurgical instrument may be designed as a flexible cryocatheter or as a rigid cryoprobe.
