A device, which is designed as a compartmented trolley or compartmented rack and which has compartments for accommodating sheet-type objects (glass panes), comprises a base rack (), on which a plurality of frames () projecting upward are arranged. Each of the frames () contains rods (), which are arranged parallel to one another and at a distance from one another in the frame (). The rods () delimit compartments for accommodating the objects in the device (). The frames () having rods () that delimit the compartments are pivotably supported on the base rack (), wherein the pivoting axes () are arranged at the lower end of the frames () in the region of the base rack (). The objects that are accommodated in compartments delimited by the rods () in the frames () rest with their bases, i.e. the lower horizontal edges, on sliding surfaces or rollers ().

Device having pivotable compartments

When handling panel-shaped objects, such as glass panes, a gripping device () is used in order to remove the objects from stacks (), in which the objects are inclined towards the vertical, or to position the objects onto stacks (), wherein the gripping device allows at least two stacks () of objects to be formed on bearing blocks, the stacks () differing from each other. The gripping device () has at least two grippers which are independent of each other. Suction heads () are provided as the grippers of the gripping device (), the suction heads being pivotal independently of each other into and out of the suction head working position associated with the objects. In the process, gripping device () suction heads () pivoted out of their operating position are arranged above the stacks ().

Method and device for stacking and unstacking panel-shaped objects

A method for sealing insulating glass blanks (), in which a sealing compound () is introduced from a sealing nozzle () into the outwardly open edge joint () of the insulating glass blank (). A material tongue () of the sealing compound () emerging from the sealing nozzle () forms in front of the sealing nozzle (). The size of the material tongue () is proportional to the amount of the sealing compound () introduced into the edge joint () per unit of time. Sealing is controlled in accordance with the length of the material tongue () detected by a sensor (). In particular the amount of sealing compound () introduced per unit of time to the sealing nozzle () and/or the relative speed between the insulating glass blank () and the sealing nozzle () is controlled in accordance with the length of the material tongue () detected by the sensor ().

Method and device for sealing insulating glass blanks

Disclosed is a linear conveyor () for transporting glass panels () in the vicinity of grinding stations () or a washing station () of a system for producing glass panel blanks including a linear conveyor (), for example, a driven toothed belt, and opposite the driven toothed belt a beam (), from which a fluid, in particular water, is discharged. The glass panel () is pressed against the linear conveyor () in a non-positive manner and reliably conveyed by water discharged from the beam (). Such linear conveyors () can be arranged at the upper or lower edge of a glass panel () in order to trim the glass panel using at least one grinding disk (), for example.
