Image transfer arrangement and method for image transfer

For the miniaturization of an investigation instrument (), which includes a sensor (), which is arranged in the interior of a long shaft () and is electrically contact-connected by a connection (), it is provided that a flexible bending section () is configured on the connection (), and is thus connected with a contact-connection section (), which is contact-connected with contacts () of the sensor () on the reverse side such that, firstly, the entire connection () is arranged in the shadow of the image sensor () and, secondly, the bending section () originates from the contact-connection section () within a field () which is subtended by the reverse-side contacts () of the sensor ().

Investigation instrument

In order to reduce costs for endoscopic examinations and to enable new operating concepts, an image recording arrangement is provided in which an adapter that enables bi-directional communication between a camera control unit and an image generation unit which has an image sensor. A standardized data interface is configured between the camera control unit and the adapter. The adapter is defined for use with a specific type of image generation unit. Accordingly, the adapter has a communication apparatus which translates control and adjustment commands transmitted by the camera control unit into a format processable by the image generation unit and provides image data from the image sensor in a format processable by the camera control unit. The camera control unit can therefore access, control and adjust the image generation unit and can display image data from the image generation unit without adaptation to the image generation unit connected to the adapter and therefore without knowledge of said image generation unit.

Method for building a video bus, video bus layout, plug-in card, endoscope and corresponding use

A video-processing assembly (), particularly for an endoscope, including a video-processing device () and an expansion device (), which is connected to the video-processing device () via an interface (). The interface () transmits at least two video data channels (), a primary video data channel () processed in the video-processing device () and the secondary video data channel () being led unprocessed into the expansion device () and processed there. The two processed video signals are combined in a mixing unit () in the expansion device () and transmitted to an image display device ().

Video-processing device and video-processing method

An endoscopy device () with an endoscope () and a camera control unit () is provided. The endoscope () has an endoscope shaft () and an endoscope head (), and the endoscope shaft () is made of a metallic material. Electronics () are arranged in the endoscope head () and are connected to an attachment cable (), and the electronics () and the attachment cable () are shielded by an electronics shield (). A galvanic barrier () is set up between the electronics shield () and the endoscope shaft () and couples the endoscope shaft () capacitively to the electronics shield ().

Endoscopy device

An initialization method for initializing a transfer of a recording image data stream from an image sensor of an image recording apparatus to a display unit, wherein initially a display image data stream in the form of a test image is transferred from an image processing apparatus to the display unit and a recording image data stream is transferred from an image recording apparatus to the image processing apparatus. A changeover of a reproduction on the display unit to the recording image data stream is preceded by a correction value being calculated for a phase shift between the display image data stream and the recording image data stream and being transferred to the image recording apparatus, and the recording image data stream is phase-shifted by the correction value. Subsequently the display image data stream is changed over to the recording image data stream () and the image recorded by the image sensor or the sequence of images is reproduced with the display unit.

Initialization method and image-transferring system

To improve the quality of transmission of a signal from an image sensor to a camera controller of an endoscopy arrangement by a cable while maintaining electrical safety standards, a first circuitry arrangement used to transmit the signal within the cable includes galvanic isolation from a second circuitry arrangement used to further process the signal within the camera controller. The galvanic isolation is formed downstream of a proximal end of the cable in the signal direction, and the first circuitry arrangement has a, preferably passive, impedance matching circuit, for example arranged at the proximal end of the cable or in the camera controller. This impedance matching circuit is configured to compensate signal distortions, which arise during the transmission of the signal that is produced by the image sensor to the camera controller, preferably such that a frequency spectrum of the signal produced by the image sensor can be reproduced.
