Methods for ranking users based on contextual factors are provided. An example method may include receiving an online question by an asking user. The method may further include identifying one or more topics of the received online question. The method may further include identifying a set of candidate answering users from a plurality of users based on an expertise level of each user of the plurality of users, wherein the expertise level is related to the identified one or more topics of the received online question. In addition, the method may include ranking the set of candidate answering users based on a commonality of one or more contextual factors between the asking user and the set of candidate answering users, wherein the one or more contextual factors are distinct from the identified one or more topics. Systems and computer-readable media for ranking users based on contextual factors are also described.

Ranking users based on contextual factors

Methods relating to canonical content items are provided. An example method may include receiving an online question by an asking user. The method may further include identifying one or more topics of the received online question. The method may further include matching at least one canonical content item from a plurality of canonical content items to the received online question based on the identified one or more topics, wherein each canonical content item of the plurality of canonical content items is associated with a model explanation of a topic. In addition, the method may include providing the matched at least one canonical content item to the asking user. Systems and computer-readable media are also described.

Identifying canonical content items for answering online questions

A system and method for queuing participants of a multi-party communication session are disclosed. In one embodiment, the system includes a concentration signal module, a concentration information module, an ordering module and a queuing module. The concentration signal module receives one or more concentration signals associated with a multi-party communication session. The concentration information module receives concentration information of a participant of the multi-party communication session. The ordering module determines an order for a plurality of participants of the multi-party communication session based at least in part on the one or more concentration signals and the concentration information of each participant of the multi-party communication session. The queuing module queues the plurality of participants of the multi-party communication session in the determined order, wherein a participant at the front of the queue asks a question.

Systems and methods for providing a tooltip based on search results within a social network are provided. A method includes receiving a search query within the social network. The method also includes determining a set of search results responsive to the search query. The set of search results is from within the social network. The set of search results includes search results of a first type and search results of a second type. The method also includes providing for display of plural ones of the search results of the first type. The method also includes determining whether a number of search result of the second type exceeds a threshold number. The method also includes, providing, in a case where the number of search results of the second type exceeds the threshold number, for display of a tooltip. The tooltip indicates the second type.

Providing a tooltip based on search results

A system and method for generating an animation based at least in part on video content associated with a multi-party video communication session are disclosed. In one embodiment, the system includes a video receiver module, a video sampler module, a conversion module, a request receiver module and an animation display module. The video receiver module receives video content of a multi-party video communication session including video content of each of one or more participating devices. The video sampler module generates a plurality of video frames based on the video content. The conversion module generates a plurality of images each image based on one of the plurality of video frames and generates an animation file based on the plurality of images. The request receiver module receives a request from a user. The animation display module, based on the request, provides for display textual content, the animation file, and a connection.
