In some examples, a plurality of instances of position data and associated accuracy metadata are acquired by a position sensor. A position of a device comprising the position sensor is determined based on combining the plurality of instances of the position data and the associated accuracy metadata.

In some examples, a system receives, over a network, position data acquired by a position sensor of a device, and sensor data acquired by a further sensor of the device while the position sensor of the device is inactive, the sensor data from the further sensor indicating a direction of travel of the device. The system determines, using the sensor data acquired by the further sensor of the device, a heading and movement of the device relative to a position indicated by the position data, and updates a position of the device according to the determined heading and movement.

Methods and devices for scrolling a display page are described. In one aspect, the present application describes a method implemented by a processor of an electronic device. The electronic device has a display and an input interface. The method includes: displaying a first portion of a display page on the display; receiving, via the input interface, a scrolling command to scroll the display page in a first direction; and, while receiving the scrolling command: determining that an edge of the display page is reached, and in response to determining that the edge of the display page is reached, maintaining the edge of the display page on the display and graphically tilting the display page inwards.

The system includes a component cover with a detection portion; a sensor adapted to detect the presence of the detection portion in the component cover; and a processor able to receive information from the sensor and to prepare the mobile device for power loss.
