The present invention provides a method for the synthesis of an injectable composition comprising a [F]-labelled pyridaben derivative that is amenable to automation. In particular, the method of the present invention comprises a method of purification carried out by means of solid phase extraction (SPE) alone.

Solid phase purification

The present invention provides a method for the synthesis of an injectable composition comprising a [F]-labelled pyridaben derivative that is advantageous over prior methods. In particular, the method of the present invention comprises a method of radiosynthesis that permits a more facile purification using solid phase extraction (SPE).

Stabilized radiolabelling reaction

The invention relates to methods for processing [F]-fluoride target water using a solid-support bound Cryptand of formula (I) and to apparatus for performing such methods. The resultant [F]-fluoride is useful for preparation of radiopharmaceuticals by nucleophilic fluorination, specifically for use in Positron Emission Tomography (PET). 

Fluoride processing method

The present invention provides a method to obtain radiofluorinated compounds useful for in vivo imaging GABAreceptors. The method of the invention is high-yielding and may conveniently be carried out on an automated synthesizer such as Fastlab&#x2122;. A further aspect of the invention is a cassette suitable for carrying out the automated method of synthesis of the invention. Novel precursor compounds useful in the method of the invention are also provided, as are a number of novel compounds obtained by the method of the invention.
