Adjustable firearm stock

A stock for a firearm includes an attachment member shaped to attach the stock to a firearm, a stock member pivotally attached to the attachment member so that the stock member is pivotable between an aligned position and a folded position, and a stock body. One of the stock member and stock body includes a plurality of stock attachment locations so that the stock member and stock body are connected together at one of the plurality of stock attachment locations.

An adjustable stock for a firearm having a first side, a second side, and a bottom side. The stock includes a fixed body attachable to the firearm and a moveable body slideably connected to the fixed body. The second body includes a butt of the stock. A position selector is disposed to selectively fix the relative position of the moveable body to the fixed body. The position selector is disposed on one of a first side and a bottom side. A position retention device provides a second point of selective fixation between the fixed body and the moveable body. The position retention device is disposed on one of a first side and a bottom side.

An adjustable stock for a firearm includes a fixed body attachable to the firearm and a moveable body slideably connected to the fixed body. The moveable body defines a butt of the stock. A hole may be defined in one of the fixed body and the moveable body that has a first side opening and a second side opening disposed opposite the first side opening. A position selector is disposed in the hole and includes a first selector body and a second selector body. The first selector body includes a body portion shaped as a button having an engagement surface and a protrusion extending away from the body portion. The second selector body includes a body portion shaped as a button having an engagement surface and a protrusion extending away from the body portion. A biasing device is disposed between the first and second selector bodies to bias the first and second selector bodies apart and so that the engagement surface of the first selector body extends from the first side opening and the engagement surface of the second selector body extends from the second side opening. Further, a plurality of locating slots is defined in the other of the fixed body and the moveable body. At least one of the protrusions of the first and second selector bodies engage one of the plurality of locating slots to selectively fix the relative position of the moveable body to the fixed body.

A firearm including a barrel having a chamber and an integrally formed upper receiver having a passageway, an accessory rail extending the complete length of the upper receiver, and a guidance feature extending along the passageway. The firearm also includes an operating rod having an anti-bounce mechanism, a bolt that is rotated counter-clockwise to lock against the chamber, a bolt carrier having a safety extension disposed below the bolt that prevents a hammer from striking a firing pin until the bolt is locked against the chamber, a lower receiver, a recoil spring assembly, and a fire control group. The bolt includes a polymer spring that biases a sliding extractor against the base of a cartridge. The sliding extractor is disposed at an angle ranging from thirty degrees to fifteen degrees on the bolt face to provide a low ejection angle from the firearm.

Firearm

A firearm having a bolt carrier comprising an operating rod slot that is open at an end of the bolt carrier. The bolt carrier also includes a cam slot extending from the operating rod slot. The firearm includes a bolt having a protrusion extending from the bolt which enters and is movable within the cam slot. The firearm further includes an operating rod comprising a piston and a foot. The foot is disposed within the operating rod slot to prevent the separation of the bolt from the bolt carrier and to connect the operating rod to the bolt carrier.

An improved firearm having a barrel coupled to an upper receiver where the receiver includes a passageway extending generally parallel to the longitudinal axis, and a guidance feature extending along the passageway generally parallel to the longitudinal axis. The firearm also includes a lower receiver coupled to the upper receiver and a recoil spring assembly comprising a mating attachment structure and a disassembly button disposed on a lateral side of the upper receiver. The mating attachment structure is attached to an attachment structure of the lower receiver to attach the lower receiver to the upper receiver. Actuation of the disassembly button detaches the mating attachment structure from the attachment structure to detach the lower receiver from the upper receiver.

A multi-caliber ambidextrously controlled firearm that includes an adjustable ejection system to facilitate the ejection of spent cartridge casings from a firearm. The adjustable ejection system includes an ejection port defined by an aperture in the firearm and a deflector. The deflector is attached to the firearm to adjust the size of the ejection port and may be attached at one of at least two attachment positions of the firearm. The adjustable ejector system includes an ejector selectively attached to the firearm at one of at least two ejector attachment positions. The improved firearm also includes an ambidextrous magazine catch system for selectively retaining a magazine within a firearm. The magazine catch system includes a first button opposite a second button such that either button may be actuated by a user to release the magazine retained with the firearm.

Multi-caliber ambidextrously controllable firearm

An improved bolt, bolt carrier and barrel assembly for rifles is described. This invention provides bolt mechanism that has heavier lugs on each side of the extractor to distribute the forces more equally and reliably and thereby reducing firearm failure rate. Moreover, this invention provides a bolt system that is easily adaptable to different ammunition feed devices as well as different ammunition cartridges. This invention further includes a barrel having a barrel extension designed to mate to the symmetrical bolt head lugs of this invention.

Multi-lugged bolt carrier and barrel for rifles

An operating system for automatic rifles is described which permits a user to easily remove and replace the bolt and bolt carrier from the rifle, without requiring the user to employ special tools. This invention permits the user to reconfigure the rifle to fire a wide range of different calibers of cartridges, as well as to reconfigure the rifle to feed ammunition from either the top or the bottom of the firearm. This invention further improves the reliability and decreases the manufacturing cost of the operating system by reducing the number of required components. This invention also provides an ergonomic, left hand sided, non-reciprocating cocking handle. The cocking handle assembly is provided with a slot cover which keeps debris from entering the interior of the rifle.

Compact operating system for automatic rifles

A buttstock is described which contains an enclosure for storage of tools and parts, and which is totally accessible to the user through a butt plate held in place by a removable pin. This buttstock invention also has a sling attachment device which is designed to be positionable on either side of the buttstock, for either left or right side carrying and which cooperates with the butt plate pin to hold each in position. The sling attachment devices is relocatable with mounting points at various places on the stock to permit multiple user carrying styles. This invention affords assembly and disassembly without the use of special tools and therefore can be easily done by the user in the field. This invention is also preferably composed of a strong light weight material which is adapted for ease of use, is non-corrosive, and supports low cost manufacture. Easily attachable to a wide variety of firearms, cross bows, scopes and other aimed devices, this invention provides important features for ease of use and is innovative in its combination and cooperation of its components and features.

Buttstock for firearm with ambidextrous sling attachment and removable

A weapon system is disclose whose design permits simple reconfiguration of the weapon to perform optimally in many configurations. By reconfigurations, the weapon can be configured to fire a wide variety of cartridges, including but not limited to 7.62.times.39 mm, 5.45.times.39 mm, 5.56 NATO, 0.45 ACP, 9 mm, 40 S&W, and 0.300 Magnum. This reconfiguration is accomplished by easily changing the following components: barrel; operating rod, recoil spring, and buffer; gas tube, bolt head, firing pin and extractor; and magazine well. The weapon can be reconfigured to accept a wide variety of cartridge feeding devices, including but not limited to AR15/M16 magazines, AK47 magazines, and a variety of ammunition belts and links. Also, the weapon system can be easily reconfigured to position a cartridge magazine either under the firearm or above the firearm. This is accomplished by an upper receiver design that permits the entire upper receiver to be flipped top to bottom and by use of consistent easy to connect/disconnect mounting points. In sum, this invention permits a single firearm to be simply and easily configured by the operator for a very wide range of purposes, including target shooting, hunting, military, and law enforcement. By making it possible for a user to configure the weapon for different cartridges, this weapon system permits the operator to use the ammunition most affordable, most efficient or most available for a given purpose.

Modular, multi-caliber weapon system

A structure for frames for bicycles, wheelchairs, and other vehicles, as well as components thereof and other devices requiring a strong, lightweight frame shell. The preferred frame structure is constructed from plastic molded partial shells that are assembled into shells (such as tubing) that comprises the frame. The partial shells have protrusions and receptacles on the joining faces of their skins that are used to join the partial shells together to form the assembled shell. This results in a lightweight, durable and aesthetically pleasing frame. In an alternative embodiment, the partial shells have protrusions and receptacles within their interiors for additional strength. Additional attachment mechanisms such as screws, bolts, nails, clips or rivets may be used for reinforcement of the partial shells. A method for manufacturing the frame is also disclosed.

Structural shell frames and method of making same

A hollow shell frame for bicycles and other human powered vehicles is disclosed. The frame is constructed from plastic molded partial shells that are assembled into tubing that comprises the frame. The partial shells have protrusions and receptacles joining faces of their skins that are used to join the shells together to form the tube. This results in a lightweight, durable and aesthetically pleasing frame. In an alternative embodiment, the partial shells have protrusions and receptacles within their interiors for additional strength. Additional fasteners such as screws, bolts or rivets may be used for reinforcement of the partial shells. A method for manufacturing the frame is also disclosed.
