The present invention relates to a system and method for acquiring and analyzing physiological data from a user. The system includes a plurality of interconnected devices, which may communicate sensor data to a personal mobile electronic device. Each interconnected device includes at least one sensor to acquire physiological data. In addition, at least one sensor is operably connected to the body of the user. Further, the interconnected biometric devices may be implanted medical devices and/or wearable electronic devices. The personal mobile electronic device is wirelessly connected to each of the plurality of interconnected biometric devices. In addition, the personal mobile electronic device is configured to receive and analyze physiological data acquired by each of the plurality of interconnected devices and to compute the difference between the values of the same physiological parameter measured at a different location of the user's body.

A method of transplanting a desired emotional state from a donor to a recipient, comprising determining an emotional state of the donor, recording neural correlates of the emotional state of the donor who is in the desired emotional state; analyzing neural correlates of the emotional state of the donor to decode at least one of a temporal and a spatial pattern corresponding to the desirable emotional state; converting said at least one of a temporal and a spatial pattern corresponding to the desirable emotional state into a neurostimulation pattern; storing the neurostimulation pattern in the nonvolatile memory; retrieving the neurostimulation pattern from the nonvolatile memory; stimulating the recipient's brain with at least one stimulus modulated with the neurostimulation pattern to induce the desired emotional state in the recipient.

A hover-capable flying machine such as a drone includes a robotic arm extending from the body, and an instrumentality for balancing the machine in response to disturbances such as those caused by picking up and dropping of the payload by the extended robotic arm. In embodiments, the end of the arm is equipped with a balancing rotor assembly that may provide lift sufficient to counteract the weight of the payload and/or of the arm. In embodiments, the machine's power pack is shifted in response to the disturbances. The power pack may be moved, for example, on a rail within and/or extending beyond the machine in a direction generally opposite to the extended arm. The power pack may also be built into a bandolier-like device that can be rolled-in and rolled out, thus changing the center of gravity of the machine.

According to one embodiment, a noise spectrum due to fluid flow is wideband. According to another embodiment, surface boundary layers are disrupted to increase heat transfer. Flow-induced vortices may be generated at non-corresponding locations of the plurality of fractally varying heat exchange elements.

A heatsink comprising a heat exchange device having a plurality of heat exchange elements each having a surface boundary with respect to a heat transfer fluid, having successive elements or regions having varying size scales. According to one embodiment, an accumulation of dust or particles on a surface of the heatsink is reduced by a removal mechanism. The mechanism can be thermal pyrolysis, vibration, blowing, etc. In the case of vibration, adverse effects on the system to be cooled may be minimized by an active or passive vibration suppression system.

The large-scale morphology may be algorithmically optimized according to a set of geometrically constraints. A method and device for analysis of sampled physiological parameters according to at least a second-order process over time, e.g., second-order differential equation or model, for use in therapeutic, diagnostic, or predictive health applications. The system may generate an alert regarding a present or predicted health abnormality. The biometric device may be implantable, wearable, contact or non-contact, and may communicate through a network, to send an alert. The system may further comprise an actuator or therapeutic device to perform an action based on the at least second-order process.

The present invention provides systems and methods for supporting encrypted communications with a medical device, such as an implantable device, through a relay device to a remote server, and may employ cloud computing technologies. An implantable medical device is generally constrained to employ a low power transceiver, which supports short distance digital communications. A relay device, such as a smartphone or WiFi access point, acts as a conduit for the communications to the internet or other network, which need not be private or secure.
