A percussion mechanism includes a first shaft and a second shaft. One or more vanes are fastened to the first shaft. The vanes are arranged so as to be rotatable in a chamber of the second shaft. The chamber is filled with a magnetorheological fluid. A magnetic field source on the second shaft generates a magnetic field that is spatially modulated in the circumferential direction inside the chamber.

Percussion mechanism

A hand-held power tool has a motor, a tool holder, and a percussion mechanism disposed between the motor and the tool holder in the drive train. The percussion mechanism includes a first shaft and a second shaft. A magnetically conductive ring gear is connected to the first shaft. An inner wall of the ring gear is eccentric to an axis of the second shaft. A magnetically conductive impeller is connected to the second shaft and is arranged to rotate within the ring gear. The impeller is spaced from the ring gear by a first air gap in a first position while being spaced from the ring gear by a second air gap in a second position, the first air gap being smaller than the second one. A magnet array is arranged coaxially to the second shaft. A magnetorheological fluid fills a cavity between the ring gear and the impeller.

Hand-held power tool

A handheld power tool, including a tool socket on a drive shaft for purposes of holding a tool, the drive shaft executing a rotating and partially tangentially striking movement using a tangential striking mechanism drivable by a drive. The tangential striking mechanism has an anvil associated with the drive shaft and a hammer associated with the drive, movable with respect to each other so as to strike each other axially when under the effect of the force of at least one first spring, and to strike each other tangentially when the anvil and the hammer are rotated. The hammer has a main mass, and an extra mass that is under the effect of a second spring couplable to the main mass.

Handheld power tool

A control method for a power tool and a power tool is disclosed. The control method has an operating mode and a safety mode. In the operating mode, a motor drives a tool receptacle in a rotating manner. In the operating mode, the motor has a power consumption in the amount of at least an operating value. The safety mode is triggered if a sensor device detects a rotational blockade of the tool receptacle. In the safety mode, a clutch that is switchable by electrical signals located in the drive train between the motor and tool receptacle is periodically opened and closed and a power consumption of the motor is reduced as compared to the operating value.

Control method for a power tool and a power tool

A pneumatic percussive mechanism having an axially reciprocating percussive loaded percussion piston ( ), wherein a non-contacting magnetic field sensitive sensor ( ) is arranged radial thereto. The percussion piston ( ) features at least externally ferromagnetic material and has a plurality of axially separated zones ( ) of different magnetic permeability.

Pneumatic percussive mechanism

A percussion blow added manually operable drilling tool, such as a hammerdrill, has a housing (2) containing an electric motor for rotating a tool bit chuck (9) about its axis, a control device (C) for controlling the rpm of the chuck (9) operated by the electric motor (3) which is activated by a switch (5) located on the exterior of the housing (2), and a percussion blow mechanism for periodically applying axially directed blows to a bit (10) secured in the chuck (9). The electric motor (3) is coupled to a device (12) for measuring the reaction torque. The control device (C) is connected to an evaluation unit (E) which is connected to the device (12) for measuring the reaction torque so that the rpm of the chuck can be regulated from maintaining the measured reaction torque at a maximum.
