A method of interacting within a device-independent contextually driven application computing environment utilizing computer processes. The processes receive sensor data that is detected by a given client computing device. The sensor data pertains to a physical world interaction of the given client computing device. The processes process the sensor data and a user identification of a user to derive a current computing context that is both specific to the user and specific to a given location associated with the sensor data. The processes automatically communicate a current user interface configuration to a local browser process corresponding to the current computing context, so that the local browser process executing on the given client computing device automatically implements the current user interface configuration. The processes interacting with the local browser process according to the current computing context by selecting and automatically loading a given one of a set of context modules.

A computer-implemented method of providing a server-based feature cloud model of a realm includes receiving by a server a series of digital contributions that collectively originate from a plurality of remote computing devices, characterizing portions of the realm. The processes include receiving and storing at a given one of at least two modules at the server, each module associated with at least one brand, a programmable pattern defining, on behalf of the at least one of the brands with which the module is associated, conditions upon which a potential set of trigger messages when received would cause a change in end-user data, from one state to another state, pertinent to a specific one of the end-users, such conditions defining customization of the given one of the modules.

Processing of point of sale ('POS') redemptions via a 'tap' of a contactless device comprises a POS data collector that facilitates a connection with a contactless device. A merchant scans items for purchase using a POS scanner, which captures product identification information. The POS scanner forwards the product identification information to a POS terminal. The POS data collector intercepts the product identification information between the POS scanner and the POS terminal. A user taps the contactless device in the POS data collector's radio frequency field, and a communication channel is established between the contactless device and the POS data collector. The POS data collector identifies the user via the contactless device and identifies coupons, merchant offers, and other value-added services to redeem with the transaction. The POS data collector forwards this information to the POS terminal, the redemptions are applied to the transaction, and the communication is terminated.

A computer-implemented method of providing a brand sponsorship environment includes providing a computer-implemented platform establishing a sponsorship junction involving, in case 1, a first set of trigger-monitorable activities defined by a set of audience providers or, in case 2, a second set of trigger-monitorable activities defined by a set of sponsoring brands, or, in case 3, both the first set and the second set of trigger-monitorable activities.

A computer-implemented method provides customizable brand experiences. The method includes providing a server coupled to a storage system and coupled to a network. The storage system stores end-user data, associated with a first plurality of brands, and a second plurality of end-users. Additionally the method includes operating the sever to run a plurality of modules, each module associated with at least one of the brands and customized to provide an outcome message as an output, conditioned on a change in end-user data from one state to another state, wherein the change from the one state to the other state is further conditioned on receipt by the server of a programmable pattern of a set of trigger messages. Finally, the method includes making the outcome message available over the network to an outcome destination client.

Using a Bluetooth communication channel for point of sale processing simulates a near field communication connection. A contactless device and the point of sale reader establish an unsecure communication channel. The user taps the contactless device with a point of sale terminal reader. The contactless device creates receive signal strength indicator ('RSSI') value spikes. The terminal reader measures the RSSI values and transmits them to the contactless device, which determines if the RSSI value reaches or exceeds a threshold configured for the contactless device. If the threshold is reached, the terminal reader and the contactless device establish a secure communication connection. The devices communicate via the secure communication connection, and the connection is terminated when a request to terminate is received.
