A seal arrangement for a wheel bearing having first bearing part and a second bearing part integrally connected to a wheel bearing flange, between which bearing parts rolling elements are guided. The sealing arrangement includes: a carrier element, which is connected to the first bearing part and an elastic element is provided on the carrier element. The elastic element has at least one sealing lip, and the carrier element has a fastening section, which is connected to the first bearing part. A stop part is fastened to the second bearing part with which the at least one sealing lip is in rubbing contact. The wheel bearing flange has an axial projection at least partially surrounds an axial projection of the first bearing part, and an inner surface of the axial projection of the wheel bearing flange forms a seat for the stop part.

Sealing arrangement for a wheel bearing

The invention relates to a seal device () for sealing two bearing elements which rotate relative to each other about an axis (D), in particular for sealing a rolling bearing. The seal device () includes a sealing section () for sealing purposes and a fastening section () for holding the seal device () against a bearing element (). The sealing section () is arranged at one end of the fastening section () and includes a free end (E) opposite thereof. All the sections () have a common carrier element () and at least one sealing element (), and all the sections () extend in the radial direction (R) and/or in the axial direction (A). The fastening section () extends at least partly in the axial direction (A) such that the carrier element () and the sealing element () rest directly against a bearing element () in order to form a clamping seat in the radial direction (R) by the carrier element () in order to hold against a bearing element () and a static seal by the seal element () in order to seal against a bearing element (). The invention further relates to a seal assembly () for a rolling bearing, in particular for a wheel bearing assembly, including a bearing element () and a seal device ().

Seal device and seal assembly

A bearing arrangement for a wheel hub of a motor vehicle, which wheel hub can be driven by a rotary joint. In the bearing arrangement, the wheel hub, which is connected to a wheel flange, and the rotary joint, which is connected to a drive shaft, are connected for conjoint rotation to one another and to a double-row rolling element bearing mounted on the wheel hub, the rolling element bearing having at least one separate inner bearing ring which is arranged axially outward, points towards the rotary joint, and which is axially pretensioned by a collar of the wheel hub impinging on an end face of the inner bearing ring. A sealing ring made of sheet metal rests on the inner bearing ring, and includes a sealing element that rests sealingly on the rotary joint. The sealing element has a sealing lip provided with a plurality of recesses, distributed uniformly in the circumferential direction on the sealing lip and are separated from one another by bars in order to achieve a reduced friction between the sealing lip and the rotary joint when the sealing ring is slid onto the rotary joint.

Bearing arrangement comprising an optimized sealing ring with sealing element

A sealing arrangement () on an axial roller bearing () which includes two race rings () with rolling elements () guided therebetween, the sealing arrangement () sealing off a rolling element chamber () of the axial roller bearing (). The sealing arrangement () has, as reinforcement, a rotationally symmetrical reinforcing sleeve () that externally encloses both race rings (), the sealing arrangement () being fixed in position by at least one securing section (), and some sections of the reinforcing sleeve () being covered by or connected to an elastic sealing material (), in a connected manner, in sealing sections () of said sealing arrangement ().

Sealing arrangement for axial roller bearings

A seal arrangement () of an anti-friction bearing, which seal arrangement () is inserted between a first bearing part () and a second bearing part (). The seal arrangement includes a seal () which is positioned on the rotationally fixed first bearing part by a support element () which is enclosed at least on one side by an elastic seal material (), and which seal () includes at least one sealing lip (). A thrower ring (), forming a collection chamber (), of the seal arrangement is assigned to the second rotatable bearing part. To this end, a cylindrical portion () of the thrower ring is snapped in an end-side circumferential groove () by a flange () of the second rotatable bearing part. A radial leg () of the thrower ring extends such that it maintains a sealing gap () to the seat. Moreover, the seal of the seal arrangement includes elastic sealing lips which are supported on the second bearing part such that they are offset with respect to the thrower ring.

In summary, provided is a wheel bearing unit having a cover element which can be used as a pre-seal to a main seal and encloses the fastening elements of the wheel flange. The outstanding sealing effect has been favored in the past, however a disadvantage in terms of assembly and dismantling is produced which the invention seeks to eliminate. Therefore one or more openings are provided which are formed in the cover. The opening or openings enable the simple dismantling or assembly of the fastening elements on the wheel flange and can advantageously also be closed, such that both the sealing effect and an easy dismantling or assembly are possible.
