The invention relates to a pump device () for pumping a fluid (), comprising: a pump housing () having an annular portion (); a pump ring (), which is deformable and defines an annular pump chamber () at least in some portions; a first connection () and a second connection (), said first connection () and said second connection () being in fluid communication with the pump chamber (); an eccentric (), which is designed to be rotatable relative to the pump housing () and which is arranged such in the pump device () that the eccentric (), depending on a current rotational position of the eccentric (), deforms the pump ring () in such a way that the pump ring () presses at least partially against the annular portion () in order to pump, by way of a rotation of the eccentric (), the fluid () along the pump chamber () from the first connection () to the second connection () depending on the current rotational position of the eccentric; and a clamping element (), which is designed to statically press the pump ring () against the annular portion () of the pump housing () in a clamping link region (). The pump ring () has at least one recess () for accommodating at least part of the clamping element (), said recess () being dimensioned such that in each rotational position of the eccentric () at least in some portions a distance () between the radially inner side () of the clamping element () and the pump ring () is provided.

Rotary pump with deformable pump ring

Pump device has pump housing with annular portion; a deformable pump ring that defines annular pump chamber; a first connection and a second connection in fluid communication with the-pump chamber; an eccentric rotatable relative to the pump housing and arranged such that the eccentric deforms the-pump ring and pump ring presses against the annular to pump fluid along the-pump chamber from the-first to the-second connection depending on the current rotational position of the eccentric. A clamping element presses the-pump ring against the-annular portion of the pump housing in a clamping link region. The pump ring has at least one recess for accommodating at least part of the clamping element and is dimensioned to provide a distance between the radially inner side of the clamping element and the-pump ring.

Pump device

A pump-motor combination includes a motor () and a pump (). The pump has a first rotor () and a first housing). The motor is an electric motor () having a second rotor (), a stator () and a second housing (). The first (pump) rotor () is at least partially coupled, and the second (motor) rotor () is completely coupled, to a common rotating shaft () in order to enable transmission of rotation of the second (motor) rotor () to the first (pump) rotor (). The pump-motor combination can be installed with the gearbox (G) or transmission of a motor vehicle, to assure supply of lubricant () when a primary lubricant pump () has not been operating, for example, upon start-up. Use of the common shaft () minimizes frictional losses during operation and reduces the cost of manufacture, since fewer bearings are needed.

An arrangement () for specifying the pressure (), produced by a pump () driven by an electric motor (), includes a processor () which derives a target pressure value () from an internal torque value () and a loss torque (). The arrangement () further derives () the internal torque value () from a motor current value () and a motor constant k.

A metering system for metering a liquid has an electric motor () for setting a desired feed rate, by modifying the rotation speed of the electric motor. It furthermore has an eccentric drive (), drivable by said electric motor (), for a pump () that has two delivery directions. It also has a pump ring () made of an elastomeric material and a stationary ring () which is arranged relative to the pump ring () and to the eccentric drive () in such a way that a pump chamber (), extending in a circumferential direction, is formed between the stationary ring () and pump ring (). The chamber changes shape upon rotation of the electric motor () in order to deliver a liquid to be metered through the pump chamber (). A stationary seal () is provided in the pump chamber (), between two fluid ports.

Metering system

An electronically commutated motor has a rotor () that is rotatable about an axis (D), and it has a stator arrangement () in which is provided a number, evenly divisible by three, of salient stator poles that are wound with winding strands, associated with which, for the connection thereof, are busbars () arranged on edge. The latter are arranged in an insulating part (). Each of these busbars () has a central portion (), a first end portion () and a second end portion (). These busbars () are insulated from one another and are nested into one another in a manner that minimizes relative displacement thereof.

A circuit board () is equipped with at least one conductor path () and a contact element (). The latter is adapted to mechanically engage and electrically contact an electrical conductor (). In the region of a conductor path (), the circuit board () has passthrough orifices (). The contact element () has a base part () and feet () which press-fit into the orifices (to) of the circuit board (). The contact element () has a contact tongue () that is resiliently articulated on the base part () and clamps the electrical conductor (). This makes possible a secure connection from the electrical conductor () to the circuit board (), e.g. for connecting a device having a large current demand.

An improved fan arrangement features a radial or diagonal fan () with which a direct current motor () is associated as its drive motor, further comprising a digital control element () which executes a program, for controlling the current flowing through the direct current motor (), which program is so configured that it applies a substantially constant current in the motor () in the working rotation speed range of the fan.

In this method, the value of a temperature-dependent motor parameter (k) of an electronically commutated motor () is determined during motor operation without a temperature sensor. The motor has a stator () having stator phases (), and a permanent-magnet rotor () coacting with that stator, which rotor induces voltages (U) in the stator phases during operation, a power stage () being associated with the stator phases in order to control their energization. In this method, energization of the stator phases is interrupted while the rotor () is rotating. A value (U) characterizing an induced voltage, and a value (&#x3c9;) characterizing a rotation speed of the motor, are ascertained. On the basis of those values, the value of the temperature-dependent motor parameter (k) is derived. The invention also concerns a motor for carrying out such a method. The method requires no temperature sensor, and can be integrated into an 'embedded program' such as the program otherwise needed for electronic commutation.

Method of operating an electronically commutated motor, and method for carrying out such a method

An apparatus serves to sense the absolute value of the rotational position of a shaft (). The apparatus has a first single-turn rotary encoder () that is arranged at one end () of the shaft () and is arranged to sense the latter's rotational position within a single shaft revolution. Also provided are: a multi-turn rotary encoder unit which senses the number of revolutions of the shaft () and which comprises a reduction gear linkage (); a rotary element (), driven by the output of the linkage, that is oriented as an imaginary continuation of the shaft () and coaxially therewith; and a second single-turn rotary encoder () which is arranged to sense the rotational position of the rotary element () within a single revolution. The reduction gear linkage () surrounds the shaft (), and its output element () is connected, via a connecting member (), to said rotary element () around the first single-turn rotary encoder (). An unusually compact combination motor/encoder unit can thereby be achieved, suitable for installation in small spaces, e.g. a few centimeters wide.

Apparatus for sensing the absolute-value angle of a shaft

An arrangement with an electric motor facilitates mounting of the motor, particularly of a miniature or subminiature motor. The motor () has a stator (), a rotor (), and a support flange () coupled to the motor. A motor mount () is formed with an opening () for engagement with the support flange (). The opening has, on its rim, a motor-side shoulder () that has a substantially frustoconical shape and faces axially toward the motor () after mounting. The support flange () is shaped for guidance of a snap-lock element () that extends along at least a portion of the circumference of the support flange () and is resiliently deflectable radially inward, by means of an inwardly directed force. The snap-lock element () is so configured that it snap-locks outward against the motor-side shoulder () of the opening () when the motor is mounted.

Arrangement with an electric motor

An electronically commutated motor () is adapted to be powered directly by an AC voltage (U) source, and comprises a permanent-magnet rotor (), a stator having at least one winding phase (L, L, . . . , Ln), a rectifier () which generates, from the AC voltage (U), a pulsating DC voltage (U) between a positive lead () and a negative lead () of a DC link (). Also present is a bridge circuit (A,B,C), connected to that DC link () and provided to supply current to the at least one winding phase (L, L, . . . , Ln), which comprises a switching element () controllable with a control voltage (U) that is lower than the pulsating DC voltage (U) to be switched. An auxiliary circuit (') generates, from the pulsating DC voltage (U) at the DC link and from the AC voltage (U), a control voltage (U) for driving the switching element () that is lower than the pulsating DC voltage by an amount equal to a predetermined value (U). A preferred filter () for connection to an AC power grid is described. A preferred embodiment of the circuit includes a bridge circuit having a p-channel MOSFET () at the positive lead () and an n-channel MOSFET () at the negative lead () of the DC link ().

Electronically commutated motor operable directly from AC power network

The invention relates to a fan arrangement comprising a radial or diagonal fan () with which a direct current motor () is associated as drive motor, further comprising a digital control element () such as a microcontroller or microprocessor, associated with that direct current motor (), and comprising a program, associated with that digital control element (), for controlling the current flowing through the direct current motor (), which program is embodied to generate a substantially constant current in the motor () in the working rotation speed range of the fan.

The invention concerns a method for operating an electronically commutated motor () that is equipped with a current limiting arrangement which acts on a PWM controller (). The latter, in operation, delivers PWM pulses () having a controllable pulse duty ratio (pwm) and a substantially constant frequency. In the event a predetermined upper limit value (I; I) of the motor current (I) is exceeded, the current limiting arrangement effects a change in this pulse duty factor (pwm) in order to reduce the motor current (I). If the motor current (I) exceeds a predetermined upper limit value (I; I) while the motor () is rotating, that limit value (I; I) is raised by a timing member () during a predetermined time span () (FIG.: I), so that the available motor power is temporarily raised in the context of a load peak. If the rotor () is stalled, the limit value (I) is not raised but instead is greatly lowered. The limit value (I) is preferably raised as a function of the rotation speed of the motor () in order to utilize the improved motor cooling at high rotation speeds. At start-up of the motor (), the limit value (I) is briefly increased to a high value in order to enable dependable starting.

Method for operating an electronically commutated motor, and motor for carrying out one such method

The invention concerns a method of regulating the current in a direct current machine with which are associated an arrangement for generating a current target value signal, as well as a PWM generator (FIG.) whose output signal (PWM) is controllable by means of a control signal (u) and controls the current in the direct current machine, having the following steps: a) the pulse duty factor of the PWM generator is controlled with the control signal (u); b) with the output signal (PWM) of the PWM generator, the current in the direct current machine is controlled in such a way that a pulsed direct current (i; i') is obtained in a supply lead thereof; c) a pulsed current-dependent signal (u) is derived from this pulsed direct current (i; i&#x2032;) and is compared to the current target value signal (PHI); d) as a function of the result of that comparison, the control signal (u) for controlling the PWM generator () is modified in such a way that the current in the direct current machine is regulated to the desired target value.
