A resistance paste for the manufacture of a resistor body, for example, by silk-screening and the resistance body manufactured herewith, which paste comprises a mixture of Pb.sub.2 Rh.sub.x Ru.sub.2-x O.sub.7-y, a permanent binder and a temporary firable binder. In the formula 0.15.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.0.95 and 0.ltoreq.y.ltoreq.1/2. The resulting resistor body in the temperature range from -55.degree. to +150.degree. C. has a temperature coefficient of the resistance between -10.times.10.sup.-6 /.degree.C. and +10.times.10.sup.-6 /.degree.C. and is very stable. The resistance variation during the life of the resistor is smaller than .+-.0.5%.

Resistance paste for a resistor body

Resistive paste for manufacturing a resistor body by means of screen-printing the paste on a substrate, followed by firing. The paste comprises a silver-palladium alloy, a metal oxidic compound which contains either PdO and/or can react therewith, a permanent and a temporary binder. The metal oxidic compound may be provided as a layer on the AgPd particles or be mixed therewith. The result is a low-ohmic resistor having a .vertline.TRC.vertline.&lt;100.times.10.sup.-6 /.degree.C. in the range from -60.degree. to +200.degree. C.

Resistive paste for a resistor body

A method of preparing resistance material in accordance with which metal oxides and/or metal oxidic compounds are heated together with a binder and, possibly, metal. A resistor having a temperature coefficient which is low and independent of the dilution, that is to say the level of the resistance value, is obtained by choosing particles which are smaller than 100 nm and vary within a very narrow range only as the starting material.

Method of preparing resistance material and resistor bodies produced

Resistance material comprising a mixture of metal oxidic compounds, metal oxides, a permanent binder and a temporary binder, the resistance-determining component consisting of at least one component having the formula M.sub.x Sr.sub.1-x Rh.sub.2 O.sub.4-4.5 in which M is selected from Pb and Bi and wherein 1/2&gt;x&gt;0. By combining this component with a material having an opposite TCR, a resistor having a very small TCR is obtained. This resistor is formed by firing this resistance material on a substrate.

Resistance material

A resistance material comprising a mixture of a permanent binder, a temporary binder and a bismuth-strontium rhodate having a composition defined by the formula Bi.sub.x Sr.sub.1-x Rh.sub.2.5 O.sub.5-5.5 wherein 1/2&gt;x&gt;O as a resistance determining component. This component has a linear positive temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR). A resistor having a very low TCR may be made using a mixture of this resistance-determining material with a resistance-determining component having a negative TCR. The resistor is produced by firing this resistance material on a substrate.

Corpuscular material which, while using a whether or not reacting binder, can be processed to resistor bodies. The material consists of corpuscular carrier material of inert oxidic material or, possibly, resistance-determining material, at the surface of which there is an oxidic resistance material retained by chemisorption, such as a noble metal compound. During heating the surface structure is retained. This starting material enables a considerable saving in noble metal compounds.

Resistance material consisting of a mixture of metal oxidic compounds, metal oxides, a permanent binder and a temporary binder, the resistance-determining component consisting of barium-rhodate BaRh.sub.6 O.sub.12. This component has a linear positive temperature coefficient of the resistance (TCR) and enables the production of a resistor having a very low TCR by combining the material with a material having a negative TCR. The resistor is obtained by firing this resistance material after it has been applied onto a substrate.

Resistance material consisting of a mixture of metal oxidic compounds, metal oxides, a permanent and a temporary binder, the resistance-determining component consisting of thallium rhodate TlRh.sub.2 O.sub.4. This component has a linear positive temperature coefficient of the resistance TCR which enables the composition of a resistor having a very low TCR by combining it with a material having a negative TCR. The resistor is produced on the basis of this resistance material provided on a substrate.

A resistance material consisting of a mixture of metal oxide and/or metal oxidic compounds and any metals with a binder, which material comprises a metal rhodate of the type M.sub.3 Rh.sub.7 O.sub.15, by way of resistance determining component. This material has a small negative TCR which is substantially constant in a large temperature range.
