A battery housing for an electric vehicle comprises a first housing part and a second housing part. The first housing part has a trough-type structure for receiving one or more battery modules. The second housing part is designed as a cover part for closing the first housing part. The housing parts have peripheral assembly flanges and are connected to one another on their assembly flanges by multiple fasteners extending through the assembly flanges. The assembly flange of at least one housing part carries multiple spacing elements arranged spaced apart from one another, each having a spacer arranged on the side of the assembly flange carrying the spacing element facing the assembly flange of the other housing part, wherein the spacer only covers a part of the total width of the assembly flange. A peripheral seal is located between and adhesively connected to the two assembly flanges. Here, the spacing elements each have at least one arm guided around the lateral edge of the assembly flange carrying the spacing element, and reaching to the opposite side, and supported on the opposite side of the assembly flange.

A bumper cross member for a motor vehicle, having a crossmember extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, and two crashboxes connected thereto and designed as hollow chamber sections. Each crashbox is connected with its end facing away from the vehicle to the crossmember in a respective end section thereof, and may be connected, with its end facing the vehicle, to a structural component of the vehicle. The crashboxes are supported with their end faces only in sections on the rear side of the crossmember, in particular such that the support is continuous or at least substantially continuous either in the upper and lower end-face areas, or in the two lateral end-face areas, while support of the other end-face areas is provided only in sections or absent. The distance between the end-face areas of the crashboxes, which are unsupported on the crossmember, is set from the rear side of the crossmember, such that only after a first phase of energy absorption with deformation of the crashbox is the end face facing the crossmember supported over its whole surface on the rear side of the crossmember.

A battery housing for a motor vehicle comprising a base part having a base plate and a cover part having a cover plate. The base part and the cover part delimit a receptacle volume for receiving at least one battery module. The two plates are spaced apart by at least one spacer which is disposed inside the receptacle volume and is supported on the two plates. In the region of at least one support of the spacer, the respective plate has a cut-out. The spacer has an insertion portion which projects into the cut-out and is secured on this plate. The insertion portion projects into the cut-out to the maximum extent that the end face of the insertion portion lies flush with the outer side of the plate.

The means are designed as clamping means and comprise a clamping element and an abutment element, wherein to clamp the insert component, the clamping element is supported on the abutment element and, in this supported arrangement, acts against the outer side of at least one wall of the insert component.

A temperature control device of a battery housing for a vehicle which is driven by an electric motor. The temperature control device is divided into multiple temperature control cells, and each temperature control cell has a heat exchange surface for transferring heat from a battery module, which is inserted into the temperature control cell and which is to be temperature-controlled, into the temperature control device or vice versa and at least one temperature control agent channel, which is arranged at a distance from the heat exchange surface, through which a fluid can flow, and which is fluidically connected to a first temperature control agent collector on the inlet side and to a second temperature control agent collector on the outlet side. The inlet or outlet connection of the first temperature control agent collector and the outlet or inlet connection of the second temperature control agent collector are arranged on the temperature control agent collector end portions facing in the same direction, and one of the two temperature control agent collectors is designed to have multiple channels. The temperature control agent channels of the temperature control cells open into a first collector channel of said temperature control agent collector, and the collector channel is provided with an additional collector channel, through which the temperature control agent is conducted in counter-current to the first collector channel, in order to be fluidically connected to the inlet or outlet connection of said temperature control agent collector. The heat exchange surface of the temperature control device is connected to the base on the lower face or to an intermediate base of a battery housing on the upper face, or the part of the temperature control device is the base of a battery housing, and each of the battery modules to be temperature-controlled lies on the heat exchange surface of a respective temperature control cell.

Temperature control device for a battery housing

A battery housing for a motor vehicle comprising a base part having a base plate and a cover part with a cover plate. The base part and the cover part delimit an accommodation volume for accommodating at least one battery module. The plates are spaced apart by at least one spacer arranged inside the receiving volume and supported on both plates, in that the spacer is supported on at least one of the two plates with its end face. In the region of this support, the plate has an opening. The end face of the spacer extends circumferentially over the edge of the opening in the radial direction inward projecting into the plane of the support of the end face on the plate. The spacer is fastened on this plate.

An assembly for a vehicle comprising a crossmember for connecting to two vehicle pillars, a mounting connected to the crossmember and radially protruding therefrom, and a panel-shaped instrument. The mounting has two mounts, which are mutually spaced in the y direction, and end-face connection means. The instrument is connected to the connection means of the mounting at a distance to the upper closure thereof and held such that its operating surface faces the passenger compartment. Each mount has a respective upper and lower cord. Each cord has limbs adjoining one another at an angle. The cords are inclined relative to each other so as to have a greater distance to each other at the instrument connection side than at the side facing the crossmember. At least one of the two cords has at least one predetermined bending point between the two connection points of the cord.

Assembly for a vehicle

A battery housing for a vehicle driven by an electric motor to be installed in the floor region of a vehicle. The battery housing has a frame, which encloses at least one battery module, and a floor, which is connected to the frame. The floor takes the form of a sandwich construction and forms hollow chambers, which can be used as temperature-control channels for guiding through a fluid by virtue of end-side openings in adjacent hollow chambers being connected to one another at their two ends.

An assembly for a vehicle comprising a crossmember, which is provided for connecting to two pillars lying opposite each other with respect to the x-y plane of the vehicle; a mounting that is connected to the crossmember, protrudes therefrom in the radial direction, and has two mounts, which are mutually spaced in the y direction, and end-face connection means; and a panel-shaped instrument which is connected to the connection means of the mounting at a distance to the upper closure thereof and which is held such that the operating surface of the instrument faces the passenger compartment of the vehicle in the x direction. Each of the two mounts is designed in the form of a half shell which are arranged such that the opening side thereof faces in the y direction, wherein the two limbs of the mounts designed as half shells are arranged on the x-y plane, the web connecting said limbs is arranged on the y-z plane, and each of the mounts has at least one predetermined bending point, which is provided by the geometry of the mount, between the two connection points of the mount, said mounts bending at the predetermined bending point in the z and/or y direction in the event of a load (x direction).

A bumper crossmember for a vehicle having a first crossmember provided by an outer shell facing away from the vehicle and an inner shell facing toward the vehicle, which two shells are connected to one another along their circumference. This crossmember has at least one passage oriented in the direction of its longitudinal extension and extending over its middle with respect to its longitudinal extension (y direction), and by which the crossmember is divided into an upper hollow chamber section and a lower hollow chamber section. Crash boxes arranged at distance from one another are connected to the lower hollow chamber section on its side facing the vehicle. The bumper crossmember has a second lower crossmember spaced apart in the z direction from the lower hollow chamber section and connected by at least two connector parts to the lower hollow chamber section of the first crossmember. Crash boxes arranged at a distance to one another are connected on the side of the second crossmember facing the vehicle.

Bumper crossmember for a vehicle

A frame structure of a battery housing for a vehicle driven by an electric motor. The frame structure is composed of individual profiled hollow-chamber sections which are designed to be at least two-chambered in the z-direction and are welded together to enclose a battery volume. The end faces of two profiled hollow-chamber sections are designed to be stepped, such that an end face portion of each of the two profiled hollow-chamber sections borders a lateral surface portion of the respective other profiled hollow-chamber section.

A bumper crossmember for a motor vehicle having a crossmember extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and two crashboxes connected thereto. Each crashbox is connected with its end facing away from the vehicle to the crossmember in a respective end section thereof, and with its end facing the vehicle is connectable to a structural component of the vehicle, e.g., a longitudinal member. The crossmember has a corrugated structure in the area where a crashbox is connected. A tow sleeve is integrated into the bumper crossmember in the connection area of the crashbox. The tow sleeve is held in a vertex structure of the corrugated structure in a form-fitting manner in the z and y directions, the vertex area of this vertex structure facing away from the crashbox, with the lateral surface of the tow sleeve on the flanks facing one another and forming the vertex structure.

Bumper cross beam for a motor vehicle

A battery housing for a vehicle comprising a trough with a base and with side walls connected to the base, and comprising a frame structure. In its edge area, the base has at least one embossment, which is offset into the trough interior and follows the course of the adjacent side wall, with a connection section, which is offset with respect to the base and to which the frame structure is connected, and with a transition section arranged between the connection section and the base. The transition section has an offset amount with respect to the base that corresponds at least to the material thickness of the base.

Battery housing

A support structure for a motor vehicle instrument panel support having a support part, which follows the longitudinal extension of the instrument panel support, and a metal connector for connecting the support part to another structure. The support part is made of a different material than the metal connector. The metal connector has a multi-part construction including a base part and a bracket part. The base part has a support part connection surface supported on the lateral surface of the support part. The bracket part encloses the support part opposite to the support part connection surface to provide a support part enclosure together with the support part connection surface of the base part. The metal connector is connected in a materially bonded manner to the support part in the area of its support part enclosure. The bracket part is connected to the base part via a joining process using heat.

Support structure for an instrument panel support and instrument panel support having such a support structure

An instrument panel support for installation between the two A-pillars of a motor vehicle. The instrument panel support comprises a crossmember which extends between the A-pillars and has at least one connecting member at each end for connecting the instrument panel support to the vehicle via fasteners. The connecting members have a U-shaped main body connected to the crossmember, its longitudinal axis aligned in the z-direction, with at least one support insert extending between the two wings and penetrated by a fastener for connecting the instrument panel support on the vehicle side. The opening side of the main body points in the transverse direction to the longitudinal extension of the crossmember. The support insert and the spine of the main body have fastening apertures aligned with one another at least in regions for passing the shank of a fastener therethrough.
