A device for removing impurities from shredded plastic includes at least one first cleaning body having a sectionally tapered and/or cylindrical outer surface forming a first cleaning surface, and at least one second cleaning body having a sectionally tapered and/or cylindrical inner surface forming a second cleaning surface. The second cleaning body accommodates the first cleaning body such that the cleaning surfaces oppose each other and delimit a cleaning gap between each other. A drive apparatus can rotate at least one of the cleaning bodies about its longitudinal axis, and a feed apparatus feeds the shredded plastic into the cleaning gap. The cleaning surfaces each have cleaning ribs, wherein at least one flank of the cleaning ribs is inclined or curved. Cleaning bars running transversally to the direction of extension of the cleaning ribs are arranged between at least some neighboring cleaning ribs.

Device and method for removing impurities from shredded plastic

A device for removing impurities from shredded plastic has a first and second cleaning disk with first and second cleaning surfaces, the cleaning surfaces are opposite each other and delimit a cleaning gap. A drive device rotates the cleaning disks, and shredded plastic is fed between the cleaning disks. The cleaning surfaces have a plurality of cleaning ribs extending between an inner and outer edge of the cleaning surfaces, wherein at least one flank of the cleaning ribs is angled or curved relative to the axial direction of the respective cleaning disk, and a plurality of cleaning bars running transversally to the direction of extension of the cleaning ribs are arranged between at least some cleaning ribs neighboring each other.

A method for removing impurities from shredded plastic uses a device having a first and second cleaning disc with a first and second cleaning surface respectively. The cleaning surfaces lie opposite each other and border a cleaning gap between each other. The cleaning discs are rotated and liquid is fed into the cleaning gap. Shredded plastic is fed between the cleaning discs and conveyed through the cleaning gap, and the shredded plastic is processed abrasively by the cleaning surfaces. The temperature difference of the liquid guided through the cleaning gap during entry into the cleaning gap and the temperature of the liquid as it exits the cleaning gap and/or at least one parameter characterizing this temperature difference is measured. The distance between the cleaning surfaces is set such that the measured temperature difference and/or the at least one parameter characterizing this temperature difference achieve a setpoint value.

Method for removing impurities from shredded plastic

Method for recycling all waste plastics in particular mixed plastics

A method for the removal of wood pulp and other adhering substances from waste plastics in the recycling of all types of waste plastics, of mixed plastics (MKS) in particular, in which foils and pieces from thicker plastic parts of if necessary pre-sorted waste plastics are mechanically pre-shredded into flakes or particles up to a preset size, wherein oversizes are sorted out, the shredded product is charged into a disc refiner together with water, wherein the proportion of flakes and other particles is at least 10% of the total volume, substances adhering on the flakes are rubbed down by the co-operating discs of the refiner to a large extent, and are then present as separate substances, and the substances rubbed down are separated from the plastic particles by a suitable separation method.
