In some implementations, a method includes receiving, by a mobile device, a request to switch from a first mobile execution environment to a second mobile execution environment. The first mobile execution environment runs on a same operating system, and the second execution environment runs on the same operating system. In response to the request, the mobile device switches from the first mobile execution environment to the second execution environment, wherein the second mobile execution environment has at least one of a different control policy or a different application framework than the first mobile execution environment.

A system and method for identifying a wireless serving node for a mobile unit include the ability to receive a wireless registration request at a control node for a wireless serving node cluster and determine a control node associated with the registration request by using an algorithm on a mobile unit identifier in the registration request. The system and method also include the ability to generate a wireless registration response containing an identifier for the control node associated with the registration request if the control node is not the control node associated with the registration request.

The predefined event may comprise a uniform resource locator (URL) match or change, excess use of transmission or time resources, a location change of a mobile device for the wireless data call, a network event, or a combination of any or all suitable events.
