A method for detecting the occurrence of snoring during operation of a machine configured for transporting liquid. The machine includes an impeller and an electric motor, operatively connected to a control unit. The method includes operating the machine in order to transport liquid on the condition that the instantaneous power of the machine is directed towards a set power level. The instantaneous power of the machine is allowed to fluctuate within a set power level range defined upwards by a max-factor times the set power level and defined downwards by a min-factor times the set power level. The method further includes determining the machine is snoring by the control unit when the instantaneous power of the machine is below a snoring level equal to a snoring-factor times the set power level by monitoring at least one of the operational parameters of power, current, or power factor of the machine.

Method for detecting a pump or mixer operating in part liquid and part gas

A method for controlling a pump arrangement comprising a pump having a motor and a control unit. The motor, when the pump is in an active state and the motor is driven in a first direction, is associated with a load factor that corresponds to an operating condition of the pump arrangement. The pump arrangement also includes a unit configured to monitor at least one operating parameter from which the load factor of the motor can be derived. The method includes determining a real value of the at least one operating parameter, determining if an externally applied force is acting on the motor to such an extent that an operating condition detrimental to the pump arrangement is initiated, effecting a state shift from the active state to an inactive state of the pump if an operating condition detrimental to the pump arrangement is initiated, the state shift including a step according to which the control unit, immediately after a detrimental operating condition is initiated, abruptly breaks the driving of the motor in the first direction.

Method for controlling a pump arrangement

A method for controlling a pump arrangement upon clogging. The arrangement includes a pump and a control unit. The pump includes a motor, and the control unit drives the motor. The motor during operation is associated with an operational parameter from which the motor torque may be derived. The operational parameter has a normal value Pduring normal operation of the motor in a first direction. The method includes the steps of driving the motor in a first direction by the control unit, stopping the motor if a real value P of the operational parameter exceeds a predetermined clogging limit P, driving the motor in an opposite second direction a predetermined flushing time Tby the control unit, and stopping the motor if the absolute value of the real value P of the operational parameter during the flushing time Texceeds the absolute value of a first unfastening limit P.

A method for automatic mutual alternation between an arbitrary number of pumps by the control of each individual pump, which makes use of a start condition for a state change from an inactive state of the pump into an active state of the pump to be performed, as well as makes use of a stop condition for a state change from the active state into the inactive state to be performed. The method includes a sub method (Find start condition) that includes the step of, after a predetermined stage, arbitrarily changing the start condition of the individual pump within predetermined limits.
