Systems and methods for recommending a size of disposable article to be worn by a subject are provided. An image of the subject is analyzed to determine the subject's fit parameters. The fit parameters are applied to sizing models of various disposable articles.

Method for image-based disposable article sizing

Three-dimensional (3D) image modeling systems and methods are disclosed herein for determining respective mid-section dimensions of individuals. Digital image(s) depicting at least a mid-section portion of an individual are obtained. A fit finder application (app) determines a rough 3D model based on the digital image(s). A parametric 3D model of a predefined individual is mapped to the rough 3D model in virtual 3D space to generate a fitted 3D model indicative of a physical size of at least the mid-section portion of the individual in ordinary space. A mid-section dimension of the individual is then determined based on the fitted 3D model.

A process is claimed for making a composite sheet useful as topsheet with one or more openings to receive fecal material useful for an absorbent article, said composite sheet comprising a wrinkled, patterned elasticized region that comprises a patterned first sheet and an elastic material said first sheet being patterned with troughs, that are typically compacter, i.e. of higher density, prior to attachment to the elastic material. The troughs are attached to the elastic material. The resulting composite sheet has a uniform wrinkle pattern. Also claimed are specific absorbent articles. Also claimed are composite sheets with a specific residual strain and peel force value.
