A control valve () of a device () for changing the relative angular position of a camshaft () with respect to a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine, wherein, in a region () facing the camshaft (), the control valve () includes a fluid line () for supplying fluid under pressure and wherein, in an axial central region (), the control valve () includes two fluid lines () for supplying and removing fluid under pressure to at least two hydraulic chambers. The hydraulic chambers are operatively arranged between a drive element () and the camshaft () in order to set a defined relative rotational position between the drive element () and the camshaft (). In a region () facing away from the camshaft () the control valve () has a fluid line () for removal of fluid to a tank. In order to reduce wear on the device, according to the invention the fluid line () for removing fluid in a preferably hollow-cylindrical section () of the control valve () is in the form of at least one recess extending through the preferably hollow-cylindrical section () to an outside () of the section ().

A variable coolant pump for a cooling circuit of an internal combustion engine that has a pump housing in which is mounted a hollow shaft that is driveable by a pulley. At one end of the hollow shaft an impeller is fastened which has vanes projecting into an inlet chamber and which is firmly connected via axial bridges to a cover disc. Through rotation of the impeller together with the cover disc, water can be sucked into the inlet chamber via an inlet connection piece of the pump housing and conveyed by the vanes into an annular passage of the pump housing. A guide disc with a contour corresponding to the impeller is further arranged between impeller and cover disc. The guide disc is guided by the axial bridges and can be displaced axially via a positioning unit by a piston located inside the hollow shaft.
