Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first wireless device may receive, from a second wireless device, a carrier aggregation configuration including two millimeter wave frequency bands for communications. The first wireless device may determine a beam correlation parameter based on the carrier aggregation configuration. The first wireless device may determine beams, based on the beam correlation parameter, in the two frequency bands. The first wireless device and the second wireless device may communicate in carrier aggregation using a beam on a first frequency band and a second beam on a second frequency band.

Signaling of beam correlation across millimeter wave frequency bands

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a transmitter device may transmit, to each receiver device of a plurality of receiver devices communicating with the transmitter device over a wideband channel using frequency division multiplexing, an indication of a bandwidth portion of the wideband channel to be used by the receiver device for performing measurements associated with a non-linear model of the transmitter device. The transmitter device may transmit, to each receiver device of the plurality of receiver devices, one or more wideband reference signals associated with training the non-linear model. The transmitter device may receive a plurality of digital pre-distortion (DPD) coefficients, obtain a set of DPD coefficients based at least in part on combining the plurality of DPD coefficients, and perform DPD processing in accordance with the set of DPD coefficients. Digital pre-distortion signaling

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may obtain updated location information, and determine a time difference between a previous communication with a network and a scheduled uplink transmission. Based on the determined time difference, the UE may determine a timing advance (TA) component of a TA value to apply for the uplink transmission, and transmit an uplink message in the uplink transmission according to the determined TA value and the location information. In some examples, the time difference may be based on a first duration between the uplink transmission and a previous uplink transmission, a second duration between the uplink transmission and a previous TA command received from the network, or both. In some examples, the determined TA value may be based on additional parameters, such as an autonomous adjustment step, an aggregate adjustment rate, a scaling factor, or any combination thereof.

Techniques for timing adjustment

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some cases, a device may perform a first analog to digital conversion (ADC) to generate a first set of samples of a wireless signal, and may attenuate the signal according to a dynamic range. The device may then perform a second ADC on the attenuated signal to generate a second set of samples, amplify the second set of samples, output whichever set of samples is greater. In some other cases, the second ADC may determine to attenuate the wireless signal based on an input power, amplify the signal, and output the amplified samples. In some other cases, the wireless device may determine an estimated input power of the wireless signal at a number of antenna elements. The device may then determine an adjustment to gain states of low-noise amplifiers (LNA) associated with each of the number of antenna elements.

Enhanced automatic gain control for full-duplex in millimeter wave systems

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, an indication of a range of frequencies outside an operational bandwidth of the UE based at least in part on the range of frequencies being compatible with one or more sets of analog beamforming beam weights associated with the operational bandwidth. The UE may communicate, with the base station, based at least in part on transmitting the indication of the range of frequencies outside of the operational bandwidth of the UE. Reporting wide bandwidth operation for beamforming

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration signal, the configuration signal indicating a configuration for a positioning reference signal. The UE may determine one or more properties associated with the positioning reference signal based on the configuration signal. The UE may determine an accuracy level associated with one or more timing measurements based on the one or more properties associated with the positioning reference signal, and transmit a measurement report associated with the positioning reference signal to a base station. In some examples, the measurement report may be related to the accuracy level associated with the one or more timing measurements.

Techniques for generating a power tracking supply voltage for a circuit (e.g., a power amplifier) are disclosed. The circuit may process multiple transmit signals being sent simultaneously on multiple carriers at different frequencies. In one exemplary design, an apparatus includes a power tracker and a power supply generator. The power tracker determines a power tracking signal based on inphase (I) and quadrature (Q) components of a plurality of transmit signals being sent simultaneously. The power supply generator generates a power supply voltage based on the power tracking signal. The apparatus may further include a power amplifier (PA) that amplifies a modulated radio frequency (RF) signal based on the power supply voltage and provides an output RF signal.

Power tracker for multiple transmit signals sent simultaneously

The transmission and reception group delay in a front end structure of a mobile device may be determined using closed loop calibration. The closed loop may be a near field radiated closed loop between pairs of antennas in an antenna array of the mobile device. The delay based on time of transmission and time of reception may be measured for a plurality of pairs of antennas, from which the transmit and receive group delay within a single path may be determined. The propagation delay of the signal between antennas may be included in the group delay calibration for increased accuracy. In another implementation, a conducted closed loop, e.g., in the transceiver or in a radio frequency switching network may be used to calibrate the group delay. Pre-characterization of the delay caused by components between the closed loop and antennas may be included in the group delay calibration for increased accuracy.

Calibration of group delay in a mobile device

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first device may indicate a dynamic beam correspondence operation for communications with a second device. For example, the dynamic beam correspondence operation may be declared in a time-dependent manner, for certain transmission configuration indication (TCI) states or time-dependent TCI states. Further, the first device may declare no beam correspondence and associated power savings and thermal reductions that result from the lack of beam correspondence. Subsequently, based on the dynamic beam correspondence operation, the second device may identify parameters (e.g., which TCI states, subarrays) for the first device to use for different modes or procedures (e.g., at a corresponding time) based on parameters that correspond to a full beam correspondence or no beam correspondence. For example, the parameters may be used for initial access, beam failure recovery, low power modes, or high temperature modes.

Dynamic mixed mode beam correspondence in upper millimeter wave bands

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a transceiver chain may receive, using a downconverter tuned by at least one local oscillator, transmit signals that are modulated using a modulation bandwidth and that span a total bandwidth greater than or equal to the modulation bandwidth. The at least one local oscillator may cover a first fraction of the total bandwidth. The transceiver chain may receive, using at least one analog-to-digital converter, input from the downconverter, and may output a first digital signal based at least in part on the input and sampling at the first fraction of the total bandwidth. The transceiver chain may determine an error associated with the transmit signals based at least in part on the first digital signal, and may perform digital pre-distortion on new signals based at least in part on the error. Numerous other aspects are described.

Hardware optimization for 5G fractional bandwidth digital pre-distortion

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for self-interference or cross-link interference measurements at a user equipment (UE). A UE may receive configuration information from a base station that indicates one or more slot format index (SFI) values that are compatible for cross-link interference or self-interference measurements. Based on the configured SFI(s), the UE may measure interference in multiple symbols, which may be used to estimate an amount of cross-link interference or self-interference, and the UE may transmit a measurement report to the base station. The base station, based on the measurement report, may identify one or more compatible SFIs, beam pairs, or combinations thereof, for subsequent communications with one or more UEs. The interference measurements may identify cross-link interference at the UE that results from transmissions of a different UE, or may identify self-interference of concurrent communications of multiple channels at a same UE.

Methods for self-interference and cross-link interference measurements in millimeter wave bands

Aspects of the disclosure relate to an apparatus (e.g., a user equipment (UE)) configured to operate in a full-duplex mode. The apparatus may include at least one transmit chain configured to operate within a first frequency band and at least one receive chain configured to operate within a second frequency band. The apparatus may receive coordination information that is configured to mitigate the self-interference between the at least one transmit chain of the apparatus and the at least one receive chain of the apparatus. In some examples, the received coordination information includes at least one of subcarrier spacing coordination information, beam coordination information, or slot format index coordination information. In some examples, the apparatus may transmit a first signal while receiving a second signal based on at least the subcarrier spacing coordination information, the beam coordination information, or the slot format index coordination information to mitigate self-interference.

In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives, from a transmission-reception point (TRP), a first downlink reference signal on at least one downlink reference signal resource using a downlink receive beam, transmits, to the TRP, an uplink reference signal on at least one uplink reference signal resource using an uplink transmit beam, determines a parameter representing a difference between a reception time of the first downlink reference signal and a transmission time of the uplink reference signal, transmit the parameter to a network entity, and transmits, to the network entity, a first lookup table or an identifier of the first lookup table, wherein the first lookup table represents per-frequency group delay information for the downlink receive beam and/or the uplink transmit beam.
