An anchor for a cable used to support an object. The anchor is adapted to be mounted to any substantially flat surface from which the user desires the object to be mounted, e.g. a wall, ceiling or floor. A rotatably mounted shaft is secured to the cable end. A pivotal bracket supports the shaft. Both the shaft and the bracket can be secured at desired angular dispositions so that the angle at which the cable extends from the anchor can be adjusted. A slotted cover shields from view operative mechanical elements of the mount, but permits the run of cable to extend from the anchor at a desired angle.

Cable mount

A continuously adjustable surface mounting system for supporting objects in a range of positions with respect to a mounted surface. The system includes a surface mounted assembly and one or more support assemblies releasably secured at any point along a length of the surface mounted assembly. J-shaped bends formed in member(s) of the support assembly fit within T-shaped channels in the surface mounted assembly and react to cantilever force exerted upon the surface mounted assembly by binding within the T-shaped channels, thereby locking in place on the surface mounted assembly. Clips may be secured to the support assembly and tightened to prevent release of the support assembly from a force opposing the cantilevered force. A cantilevered member extending from the support assembly preferably supports a shelf on which objects may be placed. To adjust sag of the cantilevered member, tilt adjustment screws may be used to tilt the cantilevered member with respect to the remainder of the support assembly. Flexible wire management shrouds may flank and be attached to the surface mounted assembly for running and hiding wires, cords, etc. along the length of the surface mounted assembly. The flexible wire management shrouds provide easy opening and access to wires, cords, etc. within the wire management shrouds. Vibration isolation elements may be installed between the shelf and the remainder of the support assembly to isolate each shelf from receiving and transmitting vibration. A lighting system is preferably installed in several locations on the surface mounting system.

Wire management system

A mounting system for mounting an object includes a plurality of framing members having a body portion and depending side walls, with at least one continuous slot running along the length of the framing member. A plurality of connecting pieces connect adjacent framing members. The connecting pieces each have a first and second portion interconnected at an angle and in sliding relationship to adjacent framing members. A plurality of inner cornerpieces each having a first and second section at angles to each other have an inner non-slip surface. A corner cover connects to adjacent framing members to cover an underlying connecting piece. A cable extends through slots in the framing member to contract the frame securely and firmly about a mounted object.

Adjustable framing support system

A mounting system for mounting an object includes a plurality of framing members having a body portion and depending side walls, with at least one continuous slot running along the length of the framing member. The framing member has an inwardly directed and continuous flange running along the length thereof, and the flange and the body portion of the framing member define a groove. A plurality of connecting members for connecting adjacent framing members are provided. A plurality of cornerpieces are provided which each have inner and outer surfaces with a plastic material of high coefficient of friction located at least partially over the inner surface, each corner piece being located, in use, with its outer surface adjacent a corner connection between adjacent framing members and its inner surface with the high coefficient of friction material thereon adapted, in use, to engage the object to be mounted. The framing member and connecting pieces are slidable relative to each other so as to form a frame of desired shape and configuration. The system further comprises at least one cable extending through the framing member and connecting members so as to hold the framing members and connecting members securely and firmly relative to each other. An adjustable tensioning assembly is provided for maintaining a constant holding force of the frame around an object through an adjustment range of the assembly which corresponds to variable length of the cable(s).

A mounting system for mounting an object includes a plurality of framing members having a body portion with at least one continuous slot running along the length of the framing member. A plurality of connecting members for connecting adjacent framing members are provided. A plurality of cornerpieces each having a first and second section at substantially right angles to each other are also provided. The cornerpieces have an inner and an outer surface with a plastic material of high coefficient of friction located at least partially over the inner surface, each corner piece being located, in use, with its outer surface adjacent a corner connection between adjacent framing members and its inner surface with the material high coefficient of friction thereon adapted, in use, to engage the object to be mounted. A corner cover connecting to adjacent framing members to cover the join and any exposed connecting piece. The framing member and connecting piece are slidable relative to each other so as to form a frame of desired shape and configuration. The system further comprises at least one cable extending through the slots in the framing members so as to hold the framing members and connecting members securely and firmly relative to each other when the cable is placed in tension.

An adjustable support mount having a clamp plate with a fulcrum and a clamp plate extension. The clamp plate extension has a concave, circular toothed depression forming one half of a socket to hold a ball. The other half of the socket is formed by a jaw plate also having a concave, circular toothed depression positioned on the opposite side of the ball to the clamp plate extension. The jaw plate is positioned on the fulcrum and is kept aligned on the clamp plate by a keyway rib and slot structure. The jaw plate is tightened by a bolt or screw that passes through both the jaw plate and the clamp plate extension into a cap nut. The ball is attached to a shaft which is, in turn, attached to an ultimate support mount. Welded to and encircling the shaft is an eccentric ring. The eccentric ring and shaft are encapsulated by the ball, the ball material passing through and around the eccentric ring and shaft. In a tubular shaft, the open of the shaft is also left open by the ball so that wires or other materials may be passed through the shaft. Due to the eccentric ring within the ball and encircling the shaft, enhanced support performance and strength are realized by the adjustable support mount.
