A plumbing component includes a cold water inlet; a hot water inlet; an outlet configured to output cold water, hot water, or a mixture thereof; a flow shut-off mechanism for restricting the flow of water out of the outlet; a first flow control valve for controlling the flow of cold water; and a second flow control valve for controlling the flow of hot water. Each of the flow control valves comprises a valve member and an associated valve seat, each valve member arranged to engage with the associated valve seat to control the flow of water through the flow control valves to the water outlet. One or both of the valve members includes a graduated flow control bead arranged to seal against the associated valve seat to provide a graduated flow transition between a maximum flow state and a minimum flow state of the, or each, control valve.

Plumbing component

A control system for a bath includes one or more processors and one or more sensors. The one or more sensors are arranged to sense water flow parameter data as a user fills the bath and to transmit the water flow parameter data to the one or more processors. The one or more processors are arranged to determine water flow parameter values suitable for use to fill the bath based on the water flow parameter data, and store the determined water flow parameter values as a pre-set bath-fill option arranged to be used to automatically fill the bath for future use.

Bath filling

A control system for one or more ablutionary devices includes a valve having one or more valve members, one or more supply inlets, and an output for supplying output water to one or more ablutionary devices downstream of the valve. The control system may include one or more temperature sensors arranged to communicate one or more temperature signals indicative of one or more upstream water supplies to a controller when the ablutionary devices are not in use. The controller may then generate an indicator signal based on a comparison of the one or more temperature signals to one or more thresholds. In response to an indicator signal being generated, the control system may activate the valve to prevent or reduce the likelihood of damage due to severe environmental conditions.

Control system for one or more ablutionary devices

A control system for one or more ablutionary devices includes a mixer valve having a first inlet and a second inlet configured to receive a supply of hot and cold water, and an outlet configured to output cold water, hot water or a mixture thereof as an output stream for suppling water to the one or more ablutionary devices downstream of the mixer valve; and a controller in communication with the mixer valve. The controller is configured to obtain a supply coupling setting that indicates which of the first and second inlets is to receive, or is receiving, hot water during operation of the control system and which of the first and second inlets is to receive, or is receiving, cold water during operation of the control system; and control the mixer valve according to one or more target output water properties and the supply coupling setting.

A control system for a bathing apparatus includes a pairing station associated with the bathing apparatus and having a pairing interface, and a portable user device arranged to be used to control the bathing apparatus, the portable user device being able to control one or more functions of the bathing apparatus only while it is paired with the pairing station. The portable user device is paired with the pairing station by activation of the pairing interface when the portable user device is in a pairing region.

Bath control security

A reconfigurable bathing apparatus includes a first showerhead, the first showerhead being connected to a first fluid outlet; a second showerhead, the second showerhead being connected to a second fluid outlet; and a processor, the processor being arranged to control fluid flow through the first fluid outlet in response to a first control action and to control fluid flow through the second fluid outlet in response to a second control action. The processor is arranged to be able to receive and implement a request to reconfigure its response to the control actions such that the first control action controls the second fluid outlet and the second control action controls the first fluid outlet.

Multiple outlet shower control

A showerhead () has a spray head () having a plurality of spray outlets () on different faces is mounted for manual rotation about a single pivot axis both to select a spray outlet and to adjust the direction of the spray for the selected spray outlet. The showerhead can be configured so that flow of water is uninterrupted during changeover between spray modes. Alternative versions of the showerhead are disclosed in which the spray head is mounted for powered rotation, for example by a motor, allowing remote operation of the showerhead.
