A process and an apparatus for regenerating the loaded scrubbing medium in a physical gas scrub in which at least materials of a first type and a second type are scrubbed out of a gas mixture, where predominantly materials of the first type are separated off from scrubbing medium loaded with materials of the first type and the second type by stripping at elevated pressure and a loaded scrubbing medium enriched in materials of the second type and also a gas phase that is made up of the stripping gas used in stripping and the materials separated off from the loaded scrubbing medium are obtained. The loaded scrubbing medium enriched in materials of the second type by means of stripping is depressurized and subsequently fed to a separator in order to obtain a flash gas.

Process and apparatus for scrubbing medium regeneration in a physical gas scrub

A method and device for gas scrubbing, in which, in a first scrubbing step, substances of a first kind and, in a subsequent second scrubbing step, substances of a second kind are selectively washed out from the gas mixture that is made to flow in countercurrent to physically acting scrubbing agents, wherein part of the scrubbing agent that is free from substances of the first kind but laden with substances of the second kind in the second scrubbing step is used in the first scrubbing step, and so there occurs a scrubbing agent stream that is laden with substances of the first and second kinds, during the regeneration of which a partly regenerated scrubbing agent stream (semilean); that contains substances of the first and second kinds but has a lower content of substances of the first kind than the scrubbing agent stream laden in the first scrubbing step is generated.

Method and device for sour gas scrubbing

A method is provided for fractionating a feed gas containing hydrogen and carbon dioxide, from which feed gas carbon dioxide is largely selectively removed by scrubbing in a first gas scrubber using a sulphur-free scrubbing agent, wherein a scrubbing agent stream laden with carbon dioxide and co-absorbed hydrogen is obtained which is subsequently expanded in an expansion vessel in order to convert co-absorbed hydrogen into the gas phase. The characterizing feature of the method is that the hydrogen-containing gas phase is drawn off from the expansion vessel and admixed with a sulphur-free gas mixture containing hydrogen and carbon dioxide, which gas mixture arises in a second gas scrubber operated in parallel to the first as a product at a pressure which is lower than the pressure of the feed gas.

The invention relates to a method and to a device for physical gas scrubbing, wherein a feed gas () containing hydrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and also carbonyl sulphide and/or hydrogen sulphide is conducted through a first scrubbing section (W) in countercurrent to a scrubbing medium preloaded with carbon dioxide, in order to separate sulphur components substantially selectively off from the feed gas and to generate a desulphurized gas mixture (). In a second scrubbing section, carbon dioxide is separated off from only a subquantity of the desulphurized gas mixture by scrubbing with an unloaded scrubbing medium () and the resultant carbon dioxide-preloaded scrubbing medium is used completely in the first scrubbing section (W) as scrubbing medium.

Method and device for obtaining gas products

The invention relates to a method for operating a gas scrubber, in which a feed gas () containing hydrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and carbonyl sulfide and/or hydrogen sulfide is scrubbed in a scrubbing apparatus (A) using a scrubbing agent () preladen with carbon dioxide in order largely selectively to separate the sulfur components from the feed gas and to produce a desulfurized gas stream (). The invention is distinguished in that a sulfur-free scrubbing agent () is used which, on introduction thereof into the scrubbing apparatus (A), has a carbon dioxide partial pressure which is greater than or equal to the carbon dioxide partial pressure in the feed gas () to be desulfurized.

Method for selectively desulfurizing a crude synthesis gas

The invention relates to a process and apparatus for recovering sulfur (). In a sour gas scrubbing apparatus (S) comprises a scrubbing part (SP) and a regeneration part (RP), wherein sulfur components and carbon dioxide are selectively removed from a crude synthesis gas () with the aid of a circulating scrubbing agent (). A sulfur-containing gas fraction () produced during the regeneration of loaded scrubbing agent is supplied to a sulfur recovery system (SR) in which an off-gas () comprising carbon dioxide and also sulfur components is formed. The off-gas is hydrogenated (H) and subsequently subjected to a gas scrubbing operation (Z). The hydrogenated off-gas () is scrubbed, independently of the crude synthesis gas (), and scrubbing agent () removed from the scrubbing agent circuit of the sour gas scrubbing apparatus (S) is used to scrub out sulfur components from the hydrogenated off-gas ().

Process and apparatus for treating a sulphur-containing off-gas from a sulphur recovery system

The invention relates to a method as well as a device for separation of a carbon-dioxide-containing gas mixture (), whereby carbon dioxide is separated from the carbon-dioxide-containing gas mixture () by physical gas washing (W) and is converted into two product streams () that consist primarily of carbon dioxide and have different pressures, and in the event of an operational breakdown, after their pressures are balanced, the product streams are subjected to an after-treatment step (W) and then are released into the atmosphere. For balancing the pressures of the two carbon dioxide product streams (), the carbon dioxide stream () that has the lower pressure is compressed by a gas jet ventilator (G), whereby the carbon dioxide stream () that has the higher pressure is used as a pumping medium ().
