In a thermally loaded blade for a turbomachine, the front edge of such a blade is made from a ceramic material for providing better protection. The front edge has a shell-shaped form which covers at least one part of the head stage against which flow occurs. The connection between front edge and head stage is produced on the one side by a coupling-forming indentation and on the other side by an elastic element. The elastic element produces a retaining action at the location where it is placed and a frictional connection, having an effect on the indentation, on the other side of the blade. Cooling air bores in the head stage provide for a cooling effect on the ceramic front edge.

The object of the invention is to create a simple and compact fuel feed for a gas turbine having an annular combustion chamber. In addition, the operational reliability of the gas turbine is to be improved. According to the invention, this is achieved when only one central main-gas feed line (15) and one central pilot-gas feed line (16) are connected to the annular combustion chamber (1). A main-gas ring line (13) and a pilot-gas ring line (14) are formed in the interior of the gas-turbine casing (5) or a burner hood (3) known per se. These ring lines (13, 14) are connected upstream to the main-gas feed line (15) and the pilot-gas feed line (16) respectively and downstream to the annular combustion chamber (1). (FIG. 1)

In a method and an apparatus for shaft sealing and for cooling on the exhaust-gas side of a thermal turbomachine, in particular an axial-flow gas turbine, in which the outlet-side bearing arrangement of the turbine rotor is made inside the exhaust-gas casing construction, and labyrinth seals and a gland are used for the sealing, barrier air having a higher pressure than the pressure of the exhaust gas in the exhaust-gas duct being directed for the shaft sealing into the gland and then into the exhaust-gas duct, and the rotor cooling air being extracted from a compressor stage and being fed via a pipeline through the exhaust-gas-side shaft end into the rotor, a portion of the rotor cooling-air leakage is diverted after some of the labyrinth seals and is used as barrier air. In addition, ambient air is introduced as cooling air into the bearing space, is uniformly distributed at the periphery via the gland separately from the barrier air, is partly used through cooling ducts for specifically cooling the supporting structure and is transported to the outside through passages in the exhaust-gas diffuser.

A mixing chamber for introducing a gaseous secondary flow into a gaseous, ducted main flow includes a plurality of vortex generators to facilitate mixing of the flows. The secondary main flow has a substantially smaller mass flow than the main flow. The main flow is guided via the plurality of vortex generators arranged adjacent to one another over the width or the periphery of the duct through which flow takes place. The height (h) of the vortex generators is at least 50% of the height (H) of the duct through which flow takes place. The secondary flow is fed into the duct in the immediate region of tile vortex generators. The mixing chamber according to the invention exhibits extraordinarily short mixing distances in the mixing chamber with a simultaneously low pressure loss.

In a combustion chamber, a gaseous or liquid fuel is injected as a secondary flow into a gaseous, channelized main flow. The main flow is directed to pass over a plurality of vortex generators (9) arranged side by side over the width or circumference of the channel (20) through which the flow passes. The height (h) of the vortex generators is at least 50% of the height (H) of the channel through which the flow passes or of that part of the channel associated with the vortex generators. The secondary flow is introduced into the channel (20) in the immediate vicinity of the vortex generators (9). Longitudinal vortices without any recirculation region are produced in the channel through which the flow passes by means of the new static mixer. Extraordinarily short mixing distances, with a low pressure loss at the same time, are thus achieved in a combustion chamber according to the invention.
