A digital coin timepiece that generates a tactile presentation which indicates elapsed time including a body member that includes a tactilely readable display surface that provides haptic feedback comprising first vibrations in a first location on the display surface when the tactilely readable display surface is touched by a user, with the first vibrations providing haptic feedback representing an actual minute or elapsed minutes so that the user can determine the actual or approximate time without having to view the display surface.

A device, system and method for highlighting a portion of a displayed presentation. The invention includes a presentation device for generating a presentation for remote display; and an electronic pointer device for identifying a portion of the presentation for highlighting and for transmitting the identified portion of the presentation to the presentation device. The presentation device is then able, after receiving the transmitted identified portion of the presentation, to generate an enhanced copy of the identified portion on the remote display as part of the presentation. The enhanced copy of the identified portion on the remote display is magnified, colored, outlined or otherwise converted to contrast with the remainder of the presentation.

Remote control highlighter

A system and method for highlighting a portion of a displayed presentation. The invention includes a first electronic device for generating a presentation for remote display; and a second electronic device for identifying a portion of the presentation for highlighting and for transmitting the identified portion of the presentation to the first electronic device. The first electronic device receives the transmitted identified portion of the presentation and generates an enhanced copy of the identified portion on the remote display as part of the presentation. The enhanced copy of the identified portion on the remote display is magnified, colored, outlined or otherwise converted to contrast with the remainder of the presentation.

In accordance with the embodiments of the present invention, a dual handle umbrella is disclosed, wherein the umbrella comprises a pole that is operatively associated with a first upper user grasping handle for holding the umbrella upright, and wherein the umbrella further comprises a second lower handle spaced by a distance away from and below the first upper user grasping handle provided by an extension member. The extension member is adjustable to place the second lower handle at different distances away from the first upper user grasping handle, such that a person, who is shorter than the user can hold onto the umbrella by grasping the second lower handle. As such, a user can hold the first upper grasping handle, while a shorter person, e.g. a child, can simultaneously hold the second lower handle. Other advantages that are further understood from the disclosure will be apparent to the reader.

The present invention relates to a device and method that generates a tactile presentation, which indicates time on a mobile device. The mobile device may include a touch screen, a processor, and a means for generating electrovibrations. The touch screen may include the functionality to be activated to electrovibrate in at least one portion of the touch screen. The processor may receive electrical signals specifying and displaying a current time on the touch screen. The means for generating electrovibrations generates electrovibrations that vary in response to the time to provide the tactile presentation of the time on the touch screen. The touch screen typically includes a glass plate that is topped with a transparent electrode and insulator. The insulator may be operable to receive contact from a user's finger and in response, generate electrical impulses to provide a tactile presentation as haptic feedback to the user.

A tactilely readable timepiece with a clock device that keeps time. The display comprises a display area and at least one moveable portion within the display. The moveable portion is moveable with respect to the display to form at least one displayed character that is recognizable by touch by a user and has a tactilely sensible shape that is independent of a system of dots. An actuator operably associates the clock device of the moveable portion for displacing and positioning the moveable portion to form the displayed character depending on the current time kept by the clock device.

Tactile timepiece

The present invention relates to a hand paddle that has first and second paddle members which are spaced apart to receive a user's hand therein, and which each have a top portion, a bottom portion, and outer and inner surfaces. This paddle includes post members for connecting the paddle members together in a manner which maintains the outer surfaces in substantially parallel alignment. It also has first and second compressible layers positioned on the inner surfaces of the first and second paddle members, respectively. These layers are spaced apart and face each other with the spacing between the layers at the top portion of the paddle members being less than the spacing between the layers at the bottom portion of the paddle members so that a user's hand is snugly received therebetween.
