The invention relates to a composition, which comprises the components (a) an organic material susceptible to oxidative, thermal or light-induced degradation, which is a polyether polyol, a polyester polyol or a polyurethane; (b) a bisphenolic stabilizer of formula (I) wherein n is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11; and (c) a chromanol stabilizer of formula (II) wherein Rand Rare independently of each other H or C-alkyl. A process for manufacturing the aforementioned composition, the use of an additive mixture comprising component (b) and (c) for stabilizing the component (a) and the additive mixture itself are described. 

Additive mixture for stabilization of polyol and polyurethane

The present invention relates to a composition, which comprises (a) a compound of formula (A-1) (b) a compound of formulae (B-1), (B-11), (B-111) or (B-IV) wherein Zis linear C-alkyl or linear C-alkyl, and (c) a compound, which is a further sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant. The composition is used for stabilization of an organic polymer against degradation by heat, light and/or oxidation. The organic polymer is for example a styrene-butadiene copolymer, a styrene-isoprene copolymers or polybutadiene.

The instant invention relates to a composition and process for the stabilization of halogen containing polymer slurries, in particular polyvinylchloride (PVC). The composition comprises a halogen containing polymer in the form of an aqueous suspension or emulsion, a partially hindered phenolic antioxidant and selected sulfur containing antioxidants, which are both solid at 20&#xb0; C. The present invention relates to a process and composition for the chain stopping of vinyl chloride polymerization or copolymerization in the presence of a stable free nitroxyl radical and a phenolic antioxidant. A further subject of the invention is the use of a stable free nitroxyl radical together with a phenolic antioxidant as a chain stopping mixture for the vinyl chloride polymerization or copolymerization. A further aspect of the invention is the use of higher sterically hindered nitroxyl radicals alone as chain stopping agents for the vinyl chloride polymerization.

Advanced epoxy resins are disclosed which can be obtained by reacting liquid or semi-solid aromatic opoxy resins with aliphatic diols, and subsequently reacting the reaction product with mono- or binuclear bisphenols in the presence of a cyclic quaternary ammonium salt.

Novel epoxy resins

A process for the preparation of Langmuir-Blodgett layer systems is described. The process comprises transferring a monolayer to a solid substrate having an electrically conductive surface by applying an electric potential, thereby oxidizing or reducing an electroactive molecule present in the monolayer. The layer systems so obtained can be used, for example, as electrically conductive layers or as sensors.
