A receptacle connector assembly includes a receptacle cage having shielding walls including a top wall, a first side wall extending from the top wall to a bottom of the receptacle cage, and a second side wall extending from the top wall opposite the first side wall to the bottom of the receptacle cage. The receptacle connector assembly includes an EMI shield coupled to the receptacle cage at the front end. The EMI shield has a shield member including a base electrically connected to the receptacle cage and spring fingers that extend from the base to distal ends. The EMI shield includes a gasket between the receptacle cage and the corresponding spring fingers. The gasket electrically connects the corresponding spring fingers to the receptacle cage.

A receptacle cage includes cage walls including exterior walls and an interior wall. The exterior walls form a cavity and include a top wall, a bottom wall, a first side wall, a second side wall, and a rear wall. The interior wall is received in the cavity and divides the cavity into a first module channel at a first side of the interior wall and a second module channel at a second side of the interior wall. The interior wall includes a front edge, a rear edge, an upper edge, and a lower edge. The upper edge is joined to the top wall along a majority of the upper edge. The lower edge is joined to the bottom wall along a majority of the lower edge. The rear edge is joined to the rear wall along a majority of the rear edge. The exterior walls provide external shielding for the first and second module channels. The interior wall provides shielding between the first and second module channels.

Receptacle cage

A receptacle cage includes conductive cage walls forming a cavity defining a module channel configured to receive a pluggable module. The cage walls include an upper wall above the module channel and a lower wall below the module channel. The cage walls include a port at a front of the receptacle cage providing access to the module channel. The receptacle cage includes an upper EMI absorber extending along the upper wall above the module channel and a lower EMI absorber extending along the lower wall below the module channel.

A heat exchange assembly includes a component heat exchanger that has a component thermal interface configured to thermally interface with an electrical component of an electrical device. The heat exchange assembly includes a device heat exchanger having a separable thermal interface configured to extend to an exterior of a device housing of the electrical device to interface with an external heat exchanger. The device heat exchanger is configured to transfer heat to the external heat exchanger across the separable thermal interface. The heat exchange assembly includes a thermal conduit between the component heat exchanger and the device heat exchanger.

Heat exchange assembly for an electrical device

A pluggable module includes a housing having a top wall including an opening above a module cavity. The pluggable module includes a heat exchange assembly separate and discrete from the housing extending into the module cavity through the opening. The heat exchange assembly includes a thermal bridge having an upper thermal interface and a lower thermal interface. The thermal bridge includes a plurality of interleaved plates arranged in a plate stack with the plates being movable relative to each other in the plate stack. The lower thermal interface is in thermal communication with the electrical component to dissipate heat from the electrical component. The thermal bridge extends through the opening with the upper thermal interface exposed from above for dissipating heat from the heat exchange assembly.

Heat exchange assembly for a pluggable module

An electronic assembly includes an electronic package having an integrated circuit component and interposer assemblies with compressible interposer contacts electrically connected thereto. Cable connector modules are coupled to the interposer assemblies. A cover assembly is coupled to the upper surface of the electronic package over the cable connector modules. The cover assembly includes bridge assemblies having plates in a plate stack that are independently movable. A load plate engages upper edges of the plates of the bridge assemblies and press against the plates to drive the bridge assemblies into the cable connector modules using compression hardware. The cable connector modules compress the interposer contacts of the interposer assemblies when the load plate presses the plates of the bridge assemblies into the cable connector modules.

A receptacle connector assembly includes a receptacle cage having cage walls defining first, second, and third module channels in a stacked arrangement. The cage walls include a top wall, a first side wall, a second side wall, a first separator panel, and a second separator panel. The first and second side wall extend along opposite sides of the first, second and third module channels. The first separator panel is located between the first and second module channels. The second separator panel is located between the second and third module channels. The receptacle connector assembly includes a first receptacle module in the first module channel for mating with a first plug module, a second receptacle module in the second module channel for mating with a second plug module, and a third receptacle module in the third module channel for mating with a third plug module.

Receptacle connector assembly for a communication system

A heat exchange assembly includes a plate stack having fin plates and spacer plates interleaved with the fin plates in the plate stack. Each fin plate has fin sides extending between a fin lower edge and a fin upper edge. Each spacer plate has spacer sides extending between a spacer lower edge and a spacer upper edge. The fin upper edges of the fin plates are located above the spacer upper edges. Air flow channels are formed in gaps between the fin plates above the spacer plates. The fin lower edges and the spacer lower edges define a lower thermal interface configured to be in thermal communication with an electrical component to dissipate heat from the electrical component. The fin plates are independently movable relative to the spacer plates in the plate stack to independently articulate the fin lower edges and the spacer lower edges at the lower thermal interface. The heat exchange assembly includes a plate stabilizer structure positioning the fin upper edges relative to each other. The plate stabilizer structure includes plate stabilizers having stabilizing fingers. The stabilizing fingers coupled to at least two fin plates to control spacing of the fin upper edges of the corresponding fin plates.

Heat exchange assembly

A connector housing assembly comprises a housing defining an accommodation space having a left side wall and a right side wall opposite to each other in a transverse direction of the housing. A partition member is inserted into the accommodation space for dividing the accommodation space into an upper insertion chamber and a lower insertion chamber. A shielding member is installed within the partition member and includes elastic contacts extending from lateral sides of the partition member for pressing on the left and right side walls of the accommodation space.

Connector housing assembly

An electronic assembly is provided and includes a host circuit board having an upper surface and board contacts on the upper surface. The upper surface has a mounting area. The electronic assembly includes a socket connector mounted to the host circuit board at the mounting area. The socket connector includes a socket housing holding a plurality of socket contacts. Each socket contact has an upper contact portion and a lower contact portion. The lower contact portion is electrically connected to the corresponding board contact of the host circuit board. The socket contact is compressible between the upper contact portion and the lower contact portion. The socket housing includes coolant channels configured to receive coolant. The electronic assembly includes an electronic package coupled to the socket connector. The electronic package has a lower surface and package contacts on the lower surface. The package contacts are electrically connected to the upper contact portions of the socket contacts.

Cooling system for socket connector

A receptacle assembly includes a heat sink assembly for a receptacle cage for dissipating heat from a pluggable module plugged into the receptacle cage. The heat sink assembly includes fin plates and spacer plates arranged in a plate stack independently movable for engaging and conforming to the pluggable module. Each spacer plate includes a thermal interface at a bottom of the spacer plate engaging the pluggable module. Each fin plate includes a thermal interface at a bottom of the fin plate engaging the pluggable module. The fin plates include branched fin plates and unbranched fin plates. Each of the unbranched fin plates are planar between the bottom and the distal end thereof. Each of the branched fin plates are non-planar and include at least one bend between the bottom and the distal end thereof.

Heat sink assembly for an electrical connector assembly

A receptacle connector assembly includes a receptacle cage including cage walls including a top wall and forming a module channel configured to receive a pluggable module. The top wall includes an opening open to the pluggable module. The receptacle connector assembly includes an EMI gasket coupled to the top wall at the opening. The EMI gasket provides electrical shielding at the opening. The EMI gasket has a base including a mounting surface coupled to the top wall of the receptacle cage. The EMI gasket has a plurality of mating interfaces. The receptacle connector assembly includes a heat sink coupled to the receptacle cage having a heat sink base with a thermal interface located in the module channel and configured to engage the pluggable module to dissipate heat from the pluggable module. The base engages the mating interfaces of the EMI gasket to electrically connect the heat sink to the EMI gasket.

Electrical shielding for a receptacle connector assembly

An electrical cable splice includes a housing having a channel configured to hold a first signal conductor of a first electrical cable therein. The channel is configured to hold a second signal conductor of a second electrical cable therein in electrical engagement with the first signal conductor such that the first and second signal conductors are electrically interconnected. The second electrical cable has a greater diameter than the first electrical cable. A ground shield external to the housing such that the ground shield extends at least partially around the first and second signal conductors. The ground shield is electrically connected to electrical ground conductors of the first and second electrical cables.

A receptacle cage includes cage walls including a top wall, a first side wall, a second side wall, and a bottom wall. The cage walls form a module channel configured to receive a pluggable module. The cage walls extend between a front end and a rear end of the receptacle cage. The receptacle cage includes a lifting device located in the module channel proximate to the bottom wall. The lifting device is located remote from the front end. The lifting device has a lifting surface configured to engage the pluggable module and lift the pluggable module into the module channel to an elevated position lifted off of the bottom wall.

A pluggable module includes a pluggable body having an upper shell at the top and a lower shell at the bottom that define an interior chamber. The upper shell includes side walls extending to the top and an upper wall extending between the side walls. The upper shell includes an airflow channel and EMI prevention fins having EMI channels therebetween in flow communication with the airflow channel. The upper wall along the airflow channel is at a first depth from the top and the upper wall along the EMI channels is at a second depth deeper than the first depth.
