A system is described for improving decision making for individuals, groups and organizations. The system enables participants to collaboratively provide informational statements as well as supporting and opposing arguments and share them and then rate them. The system visually facilitates participants prioritizing arguments, and allows participants to rate arguments on clarity, agreement, and relevance. The system includes multiple levels of authority, both inherent and topic-assignable, which enable posts to be made visible/invisible based on authority level and/or 'need to know'. The system allows decision makers to increase the reach of participants in decisions while keeping the input and process manageable yielding better decisions. All posts, ratings, and edits of posts and ratings within the system are archived along with any reasons given, and archives are reviewable by users.

Argument and decision optimizing engine

A cargo stake is disclosed which may be secured in a stake hole without the need of inserting a pin or bolt underneath the cargo bed. In a preferred embodiment, a latching mechanism is provided internal to a cargo stake body made from box steel tubing. The latching mechanism includes a latching member which can protrude perpendicular to the axis of the cargo stake at the lower end of the cargo stake, and the latching mechanism is operable through the upper open end of the cargo stake. In a preferred embodiment the latching mechanism is spring loaded and automatically latches in place upon insertion.

Latching cargo stake

A method for manually applying web-like material, such as plastic stretch film in roll form, to packaging units, by winding the web material about the packaging units and controlling the tension and speed of unrolling of the roll of web material while applying the latter to the packaging units, and a simplified tool for accomplishing the method. The tool includes a head and a spindle projecting outwardly therefrom, with the head being adapted to mount a roll of the web material in non-movable relationship with respect to the head. An encircling wrap envelope of the web material is wound about the spindle in relatively rotatable relation therewith, and the tension and speed of unrolling of the web material from the roll while applying the web material to a packaging unit is accomplished by manually squeezing the wrap envelope of material on the spindle, to selectively cause a braking action between the spindle and the envelope.
