The electromagnetic switch apparatus is housed in a two-partite casing. A partition wall inserted into the casing separates the switching magnet chamber from the switch- and connection contact chamber. The partition wall comprises a plurality of extensions which are stepped at least twice and extend into the switch- and connection contact chamber. The portions of the extensions located below the connection contact members cover in an electrically insulating manner the lower areas of the switch- and connection contact members. The upper narrow portions of the extensions extend up to in front of the connection contact members and form a protection against an accidental contact.

The coupling system is assembled upon the placing of the auxiliary contact block including its dogs integrally formed at its bearing surface and its coupling member including a coulisse onto the switch apparatus followed by a shifting of the auxiliary contact block. When placing the auxiliary contact block onto the switch apparatus the dogs engage between tooth-shaped projections in the trough built on the switch apparatus. During the shifting carried out thereafter, the dogs are shifted under the projections and moved into engagement. A catch is located in the trough, which catch is integrally formed on the movable contact carrier of the switch apparatus and which catch upon shifting of the auxiliary contact block is moved in the coulisse of the coupling member formed on the auxiliary contact carrier. This form locked and releasable coupling is safeguarded against a shifting by means of locking members.

The transducer comprises an armature and a core. Both pieces are E-shaped, and their geometrical dimensions are chosen so that when their central legs come into mutual contact, air gaps still exist between both pairs of outer legs where these face each other. A coil bobbin is fixed to the core and forms a straight guide for the central leg of the armature. The frontal surfaces of the outer legs are chamfered so that the limiting surfaces of the air gaps are inclined with respect to the travel direction of the armature. In order to minimize the hum, a short-circuit ring is embedded into the central leg of the core.
