Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a solution for determining a set of physical random access channel (PRACH) occasions. In the solution, a first apparatus receives, from a second apparatus, configuration information indicating a plurality of PRACH occasions comprising PRACH occasions in uplink resource and PRACH occasions in sub-band non-overlapping full-duplex (SBFD) resource; determines, based on the configuration information, and for each frequency resource index for frequency multiplexed PRACH occasions, a starting PRACH occasion of a set of PRACH occasions for a PRACH transmission with preamble repetitions from the PRACH occasions in uplink resource and the PRACH occasions in SBFD resource, and performs, to the second apparatus, the PRACH transmission based at least in part on the starting PRACH occasion of the set.

Determination for uplink repetitions

A method includes determining, by a user device in a wireless network, at least one starting random access channel occasion (RO), wherein each of the at least one starting RO is a first valid RO of an RO set for a physical random access (PRACH) transmission with preamble repetitions, wherein the determining the at least one starting RO is based at least on valid ROs; determining, by the user device, an RO set for the PRACH transmission with preamble repetitions based on the determined at least one starting RO, the determined RO set including one of the at least one starting RO; and transmitting, by the user device to a network node, the PRACH transmission with preamble repetitions using the determined RO set.

Starting random access channel occasion determination for multiple PRACH transmissions for wireless networks

An apparatus such as a user equipment configured to support an irregular bandwidth signal. The apparatus comprising multiple means for frequency translating a wireless communication signal in a frequency bandwidth that is different to a predefined bandwidth and for filtering said frequency translated wireless communication signals. Means for adjusting a centre frequency used by the multiple means for frequency translating; and control means. The control means being responsive to receipt of a signal indicating a wireless communication network is currently supporting an irregular channel bandwidth, said irregular channel bandwidth covering two partially overlapping regular channel bandwidths each having said predefined bandwidth, to route a received wireless communication signal to each of the multiple means for frequency translating and to control the means for adjusting to set a respective centre frequency of the multiple means for frequency translating such that said centre frequency of each of the multiple means for frequency translating is offset with respect to each other.

UE self-calibration in communication systems

Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, devices, apparatuses and computer readable storage medium for Random Access Channel (RACH) occasion (RO) dropping. In a method, a device determines a set of valid random access channel occasions (ROs) for a physical random access channel (PRACH) transmission with preamble repetitions. The device determines that the PRACH transmission is to be dropped in at least one RO of the set of valid ROs. The device determines one or more ROs of the set of valid ROs for calculation of a random access radio network temporary identifier (RA-RNTI), the one or more ROs for calculation of the RA-RNTI are not conditioned to whether the corresponding PRACH transmission over the one or more ROs is to be dropped. Then the device calculates the RA-RNTI based on the determined one or more ROs of the set of valid ROs.

Where large transport blocks are rate-matched and transmitted on each PUSCH segment using different redundancy versions (RVs), RV cycling with a small number of PUSCH segments might not cover the whole codeword, and/or rate-matching a large TBS across many PUSCH segments into the resource of a single PUSCH segment may lead to an effective coding rate of the self-decodable redundancy versions that is too high. To avoid these issues, the starting position of one or more RVs may be shifted by setting the starting position of a current RV to be the same as an ending position of a previous position, or by scaling the starting position by a value. Alternatively, these issues may be avoided by setting a new starting position for an RV based on the gap from the end of a previous RV to the start of a current RV.

Method of shifting redundancy version for the transmission of a transport block over multiple slots

Interference management in calibration of a pre-distorter for a power amplifier of a user device. The method includes measuring strength of signals received via beams of one or more antenna arrays of a user equipment; ordering the beams on the basis of the measurement strengths; selecting from the ordered beams at least one beam for calibration of a pre-distorter for a power amplifier of the user equipment; obtaining information of available measurement resources for the calibration; transmitting a calibration signal using the selected beam at the time of the available measurement resources; receiving the calibration signal by another radio frequency chain of the antenna array which is not used in the transmission of the calibration signal; obtaining calibration information on the basis of the transmitted calibration signal and the received calibration signal; and calibrating the pre-distorter based on the calibration information.
