A valve for a reciprocating machine is disclosed. The valve includes a seat provided with flow apertures therein. A valve closing member is adapted to co-act with the seat for selectively closing and opening the flow apertures. A cage is connected to the seat and forms a guide, in which the actuation stem of a valve closing member is slidingly engaged and guided.

Packing cups manufacturing

A seal assembly for a piston rod including an external seal and an internal seal. The external seal is adapted to be placed on a piston rod facing an external environment, the internal seal is adapted to be placed on the rod facing the cylinder associated to the piston. The external and internal seals define in cooperation with each other a chamber for the containment of barrier fluid. Such chamber has an inlet for the intake of barrier fluid and an outlet for the exit of barrier fluid. The assembly also comprises a recirculation circuit for the barrier fluid, which is placed in fluid communication with the inlet and the outlet to recirculate the barrier fluid from the outlet back to the inlet and a pressurizer device configured to be installed coaxially with the piston rod providing the chamber with a positive pressure with respect to the process environment.

Seal assembly for a piston rod

A sensor system for determining a condition associated with a piston rod of a reciprocating system includes an interrogator system having a first antenna. The sensor system further includes a second antenna separated from the first antenna by an air gap distance. The second antenna is configured to be coupled to the piston rod of the reciprocating system. The second antenna is a patch antenna and is configured to communicate with the first antenna through a range of translational movement relative to the first antenna. The sensor system further includes a radio frequency sensor coupled to the second antenna. The radio frequency sensor is configured to be coupled to the piston rod of the reciprocating system, measure a characteristic associated with the piston rod of the reciprocating system, and transmit data associated with the characteristic to the first antenna of the interrogator system through the second antenna.

A compressor includes a piston disposed in a housing and configured to be reciprocatably driven in the housing by an electromagnetic drive. A conventional linear motor drive assembly reciprocatably drives the piston in an embodiment. A magnetically-geared drive assembly reciprocatably drives the piston in another embodiment. A solenoid drive assembly reciprocatably drives the piston in another embodiment. A control system is coupled to the drive for varying piston displacement, and an accumulator conserves force by decelerating a translating assembly at the end of one stroke and accelerating the assembly in a subsequent stroke.
