A distribution unit for feeding lids () to necks () of containers () comprises a chute element () arranged for receiving a row of lids (), an outlet opening () arranged for releasing said lids () one at a time, said outlet opening () being intended to be positioned above a conveying device () suitable for conveying said containers () along an advancement direction (F) so that each of said containers () interacts with said chute element () to remove a corresponding lid () from said outlet opening (), said distribution unit () further comprising a guide element () having an active surface () extending on an opposite side of said chute element () with respect to said outlet opening () and arranged for interacting with said lids (), said active surface () having a stepped profile.

Distribution unit for feeding lids to necks of containers

A unit () for separating opening devices () supplied in the form of a row () and to be applied singly to respective sealed packages () of pourable food products, the unit having a separating assembly (), in turn having a first and a second jaw () movable along a path (P) and defining a seat (), which is movable between an open configuration, in which it receives an opening device () from the row () at a first station (I) along the path (P), and a closed configuration, in which it moves the opening device () singly along the path (P) to detach it from the rest of the row (); the unit () also has elastic means () for loading at least the first jaw () towards the second jaw (); a conveyor () for conveying the opening devices (), and which is separate from the separating assembly (); and at least a first cam () activated by the conveyor () and cooperating cyclically with a cam follower (), integral with the first jaw (), to move the first jaw (), in opposition to the elastic means (), away from the second jaw () and move the seat () into the open configuration.
