A machine for making capsules containing a product includes a forming station for forming in a sheet of thermoformable plastic material at least a casing of a capsule having a cavity, a shearing station with a punch and a die for cutting the sheet so as to separate the capsule along a respective edge, and a filling station for dosing the product into the cavity. During the cutting, the punch moves to cut the sheet with the die and then lift and detach the capsule from the sheet. The punch and the die are movable away from each other for placing the capsule on the sheet, and a through opening is created in the sheet by separating the capsule. The through opening has a passage section smaller than external dimensions of the edge to allow the sheet to support and move the capsule along an advancing direction.

Machine and method for making capsules for beverages

A capsule for beverages includes a casing made by forming a sheet of thermoformable plastic material, the casing including: a base wall and a side wall defining a cavity suitable for containing an initial product to be combined with a fluid to obtain a final product in the form of a beverage, a first opening of the cavity opposite the base wall, an edge extending from the side wall and surrounding the first opening and a second opening made in the base wall. The first opening is closed hermetically by a cover element fixed to the edge, said the cover element being perforable by an injection arrangement of a dispensing machine in which the capsule is usable. The second opening is closed hermetically by a closing element) suitable for tearing when pressure inside the cavity exceeds a predetermined value. The capsule further includes a chamber placed opposite the base wall with respect to the cavity, the chamber being able to communicate with the cavity through the second opening, when the closing element tears, the chamber being provided with an outlet opening, made in the center of a bottom wall opposite the base wall. Inside the chamber a damping element is arranged that can communicate with the cavity through the second opening, when the closing element tears, the damping element being sized in such a manner as to prevent the occurrence of the water hammer phenomenon at the moment of tearing of the closing element, or at least to reduce considerably the intensity of the pressure waves generated by the phenomenon, the damping element acting also as a resting element for the closing element when the latter is deformed through the effect of a pressure increase inside the cavity.

A beverage dispensing machine for producing a beverage from a capsule containing a product, includes an injecting arrangement arranged for piercing a covering element of the capsule and injecting into the latter a liquid interacting with the product to make a beverage, a housing element provided with a seat into which the capsule is insertable, a dispensing unit for dispensing said liquid into the capsule, said housing element rests on elastic elements and is slidable inside a chamber obtained in a box element that is insertable into a space of the dispensing unit, the chamber being provided with a fixed support intended for constituting a rest for a bottom of the capsule when the latter is inserted into the seat.

A capsule, including: a deformable casing defining a cavity containing an initial product joined to a fluid for making a final product; a nozzle associated with the casing to inject the fluid of a brewing machine, the nozzle having a longitudinal side wall being provided with at least one outflow opening to the cavity, and the nozzle having an end wall provided with a second opening enabling the final product to exit from the cavity.

A method for making a capsule usable in a brewing machine including the steps of: making a filtering element intended for containing the initial product and having at least one gripping portion; fixing the filtering element to a casing; filling the filtering element with a dose of the initial product; fixing a covering element to the casing to close hermetically inside the cavity the filtering element and the initial product; and reinforcing the gripping portion to enable a user grasping the latter to remove at least the filtering element from the casing after use.

Method for making a capsule for beverages and capsule

A capsule, including: a casing containing an initial product to be joined to a fluid for making a final product; a nozzle associated with the casing and having a longitudinal side wall and a first end provided with a first opening suitable to engage a fluid injecting arrangement of a brewing machine, said longitudinal side wall being provided with at least one outflow opening connected to the first opening through a first duct for dispensing said fluid in the cavity in a injecting step; and a mixing element rotatably coupled with the nozzle at the outflow opening and shaped in such a manner as to divert at least one jet of fluid coming from the outflow opening and be rotated by said jet around said nozzle so as to create inside said cavity a vortex flow of fluid and product.
