A wheel assembly for a vehicle includes a wheel rim suitable to rotate around an axis of rotation (a-a), defining an axial direction (A-A) parallel or coincident with the axis of rotation (a-a), an orthogonal radial direction (R-R), and a circumferential direction locally coincident with a tangential direction (T-T) orthogonal to the axial direction (A-A) and the radial direction (R-R), the wheel rim having a radially outer side, opposite the axis of rotation (a-a), and a radially inner side facing the axis of rotation (a-a), the rim being suitable to receive externally a tire, and wherein the wheel rim forms internally a cylindrical chamber of the rim delimited radially from the inner side; a motor comprising a rotor and a stator; the rotor being supported, free to rotate, on the stator; said stator being fixed to a stator support; the motor being housed in the cylindrical wheel rim chamber of the wheel rim; the rotor is selectively, removably and rigidly connected to the inner side of the wheel rim, avoiding the interposition of elastic members or damping members.

The present invention relates to a pad for brake caliper and to a brake caliper for disc brake provided with one or more of such pads. The pads are provided with one or more eyelets suitable to receive corresponding pins of the caliper. The pins define pin outlines, and the eyelets define eyelet outlines. The pin outlines have one or more curved pin contact portions with pin curvature radii, and the eyelet outlines have one or more curved eyelet contact portions with eyelet curvature radii. The contact between pads and pins at least partially occurs at the pin and eyelet contact portions. The eyelet curvature radii are higher than the pin curvature radii.

A caliper body for a fixed-caliper disk brake which can be associated with a disk in a manner such that its distance from the disk is kept unchanged and which is unusually strong and capable of a silent braking action comprises a first half-body which can house first means for generating the braking force and which can be arranged facing a first braking surface of one side of the disk, and a second half-body which can house second means for generating the braking force and which can be arranged facing a second braking surface of an opposite side of the disk, the first and second half-bodies being connected, by fixing means, to bridge elements which can be arranged astride the disk; the bridge elements are portions of a single element for connecting and supporting the half-bodies.

This is an invention of an improved disc brake for motor vehicles. The disc brake is of a floating caliper design with a U-shaped caliper-holder body extending through a floating caliper. Two brake pads are seated on flanges of the floating caliper. The floating caliper is a single piece, substantially rectangular, rigid frame having a hydraulic cylinder with a piston for urging the brake pads towards each other.
