A device for converting thermal energy into electrical energy has a first and second layer of thermally conductive material, and an intermediate layer of polymer material arranged between the first and second layers and having a thermal conductivity lower than the first and the second layers. A plurality of channels in which a colloidal suspension of active particles is contained is arranged inside the intermediate layer, the colloidal suspension being capable of flowing along each of the channels as a result of a temperature gradient applied between the first and second layers. Pick-up elements arranged along the channels are configured to extract electrostatic force or electromotive force induced as a response to a flow of the colloidal fluid as a result of at least one among a pyroelectric effect, a triboelectric effect, and thermomagnetic advection. Each channel forms a closed loop and has an outgoing branch and a return branch.

Thermomagnetic apparatus for electric power generation and method thereof

A device for detection of the tactile sensitivity of a user includes a base frame and a mechanical system joined to the base frame, the mechanical system being movable relative to the base frame and having a resting area for the fingertip of at least one finger of the user. The mechanical system includes a plurality of movable plate-shaped members arranged side by side to each other so that the resting area is defined by the thicknesses of at least part of the upper edges of the plate-shaped members. Each plate-shaped member is connected to an actuator, which can be operated to independently move each plate-shaped member from a minimum height position to a maximum height position, a control unit being further provided, which is adapted to operate the actuators.

The present invention concerns a method for obtaining polyaniline/reduced graphene oxide composites comprising the steps of dispersing the graphene oxide in an acid aqueous solution containing an emulsifying agent to obtain a graphene oxide dispersion; dissolving one or more aniline oligomers in an organic solvent to obtain an oligomer solution; mixing the oligomer solution with the graphene oxide dispersion, said oligomer being added in a stoichiometric excess compared to the quantity required to complete the graphene oxide reduction; adding to the suspension of the polyaniline/reduced graphene oxide composite an oxidizing agent in a stoichiometric quantity compared to said excess of oligomer so as to oxidize the excess of said oligomer to obtain a suspension of the polyaniline/reduced graphene oxide composite.

Method for the preparation of polyaniline/reduced graphene oxide composites

Methods for obtaining composites of polyaniline and reduced graphene oxide are disclosed. The methods include dispersing graphene oxide in an acid aqueous solution containing an anionic emulsifying agent to obtain a dispersion of the graphene oxide, dissolving an aniline oligomer in an organic solvent to obtain a solution of the oligomer, and mixing the solution of the oligomer with the dispersion of graphene oxide to obtain a composite of polyaniline and reduced graphene oxide. The methods may also include recovering a precipitate of the polyaniline/reduced graphene oxide composite, and dissolving the precipitate in an organic solvent to form a conductive ink or an ink for electronic devices.
