In an embodiment, an automotive solid-state lamp includes a lamp body extending along a longitudinal reference axis between a proximal base portion and a distal front portion, wherein the lamp body includes a support member having first and second opposed sides, and wherein each one of the opposed sides of the support member has arranged thereon a first array of solid-state light sources having a shield optically coupled therewith and configured to provide, when energized, an automotive low-beam, a second array of solid-state light sources located between the base portion and the first array of solid-state light sources, the second array of solid-state light sources spaced from the first array of solid-state light sources and configured to provide, when energized, an automotive high-beam, wherein the second array of solid-state light sources includes a first single row of solid-state light sources extending longitudinally of the lamp body and a second single row of solid-state light sources.

Lamp

A lighting device, which may be employed e.g. as a retrofit bulb for vehicle lamps, includes a light radiation source, e.g. a LED source, and a beam-narrowing optical system facing the light radiation source, for propagating a narrowed light radiation beam of the same source along a longitudinal axis of the device. Arranged distally of the beam-narrowing optical system along said longitudinal axis, there is moreover provided a cascaded arrangement of: a light-condensing lens, a light-driving lens, a filament-like body including annular reflective surfaces extending around the longitudinal axis and exposed to light radiation from the light radiation source propagated through the light-condensing lens and the light-driving lens, a distal mirror member having a reflective surface facing towards the filament-like body, to reflect light radiation towards annular reflective surfaces in said plurality of annular reflective surfaces.

Lighting device, corresponding lamp and method

Accroding to the present disclosure, a heat sink, which may be used e.g. for LED lamps or bulbs for motor vehicle lights, includes: a plate-like portion extending along an axis with opposed mounting surfaces for at least one heat source, such as e.g. a LED lighting source, and a finned portion thermally coupled with the plate-like portion and including a plurality of annular fins extending around said axis.

Heat sink, corresponding lighting device and method of use

According to the present disclosure, a lighting device is provided with a support member with a fork-like shape with two prongs carrying mutually facing electrically powered light radiation sources, and an annular heat sink member fitted onto the prongs and extending around the light radiation sources.

A lighting device, which may be used e.g. to produce motor vehicle lamps, may include a light radiation source, e.g. a LED source, having a light-permeable body arranged facing source for propagating light radiation along a longitudinal axis. The light-permeable body includes a collimator exposed to light radiation source and adapted to collect light radiation and to inject it into light-permeable body, a tapered portion coupled to collimator for receiving light radiation and directing it towards an output end, a distal portion acting as an emission filament, coupled to the output end of tapered portion, with an output mirror having a shank portion extending in said distal portion and a head portion, the output mirror reflecting light radiation radially from longitudinal axis and proximally towards said light radiation source.

In various embodiments, a street lighting device with a first light source for illuminating the street plane from above is provided. The device may include a second light source located at a closer position to the street plane than said first light source; a sensor sensitive to the occurrence of conditions of reduced ambient visibility; and a controller connected to said sensor and capable of activating said second light source in the presence of said conditions of reduced ambient visibility.

Street lighting device

In various embodiments, a device for dimming a light source is provided. The device may include a two-wire power supply line having interposed therein a switch for controlling transfer of the power supply towards the light source; a capacitance located downstream of the switch being traversed by a charge current as the switch is switched on; and a pre-charge stage interposed between the switch and the capacitance; the pre-charge stage being configured to limit to a given value the charge current.

Device and method for dimming light sources

A lighting module (), for example of the LED type, for mounting on a rail comprises a circuit board () for carrying one or more light radiation sources (L), and a support structure () with a first side (A) facing the rail and carrying the aforementioned circuit board () and a second side () situated on the opposite side to the rail and carrying one or more lenses () for the light radiation sources (L). The support structure () carries one or more flexible electrical contacts () having a first end () protruding from the first side () of the support structure () for making contact with an electrical line (T) provided on the rail (R) and a second end () which extends towards the circuit board () so as to provide electrical contact for the light radiation source or sources (L).

Lighting module

A mounting arrangement for a light source (L) having associated a Printed Circuit Board, wherein said mounting arrangement includes: a housing (H) with an exit opening for light from the source (L), a reflector (R) to reflect light from the source (L) towards the opening, an at least partly transparent cover () to close the opening of the housing (H). The cover () includes a set of retaining elements (A) for retaining the cover () to the housing (H), and a set of holding elements (B) for holding the associated Printed Circuit Board (D) within the housing (H). Such configuration is capable of exerting a pressure on the reflector (R) when the cover () is coupled to the housing (H), and wherein the reflector (R) in turn urges the light source (L) against the housing (H), providing thus thermal coupling between the light source (L) and the housing (H).

Mounting arrangement for lighting devices, corresponding lighting devices and method

A lighting module includes a base plate for fixing to a mounting surface, and a reflector body carrying a printed circuit board with one or more electrical light sources such as high power LEDs. The printed circuit board (includes electrical contact pins to the electrical light sources. The base plate and the reflector body are provided with complementary coupling formations for snap-like coupling the base plate and the reflector body with an electrical line interposed in between for feeding the light sources with the electrical contact pins electrically contacting the electrical line. The module may include force-generating formations to urge the printed circuit board against the base plate to promote heat transfer in between.
