Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for interference-aware beam failure detection procedures. One or more beam failure parameters may be adjusted based on a likelihood of temporary interference being present for a communications beam. The beam failure parameters may include beam failure indication (BFI) counts or count thresholds that may be adjusted based on a likelihood of BFIs being the result of temporary interference. Additionally or alternatively, one or more measurement thresholds that trigger a BFI may be adjusted based on a likelihood of a presence of temporary interference.

Techniques for interference-based beam failure detection

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques that may be used to help enable low latency communications between a user equipment (UE) and a base station (BS) using quick uplink channels that enable a reduced transmission time interval (TTI). An example method generally includes identifying a plurality of slots in a subframe, receiving a resource configuration for an uplink channel, wherein the resource configuration is associated with a first slot of the plurality of slots, determining a resource for transmitting the uplink channel in a second slot of the plurality of slots, wherein the resource is determined based on the resource configuration associated with the first slot of the plurality of slots, and transmitting the uplink channel in the second slot using the determined resource.

Uplink channel design for slot-based transmission time interval (TTI)

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to support inclusion of layer 1 (L1) or layer 2 (L2) cell mobility information within a layer 3 (L3) handover command. A base station may transmit, to the UE, signaling indicating for the UE to perform a measurement on a first set of cells. The UE may perform the measurement on the first set of cells and may transmit, to the base station, an indication associated with the measurement on the first set of cells. In response to the indication, the base station may transmit, to the UE, an L3 handover command, where the L3 handover command may include L1 or L2 cell mobility information, such as an indication of a second set of cells that the UE is to use for L1 or L2 cell mobility after completing the L3 handover command.

Techniques for providing cell mobility information during handover

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may receive at least one sidelink communication on a sidelink, wherein the at least one sidelink communication includes at least one of a grant, data received on a resource identified by a grant, a multi-stage grant, a multi-packet grant, or a relaying communication; and transmit, on the sidelink or an uplink, a feedback message including a plurality of acknowledgements in connection with receiving the at least one sidelink communication. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Sidelink feedback format

A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving an indication of a mobility configured cell set having a number of cells. The method also includes receiving signaling to release a selected cell from the mobility configured cell set. The method further includes releasing the selected cell from the mobility configured cell set in response to receiving the signaling. In some aspects, releasing the selected cell comprises removing the selected cell from a carrier aggregation configuration. In other aspects, releasing the selected cell comprises removing a mobility configuration for the selected cell.

Layer one/layer two (L1/L2) signaling to release cells configured for L1/L2 inter-cell mobility

Wireless communications systems and methods related to accessing a channel based on an interference condition in a wireless communication network are provided. For example, a method of wireless communication performed by a wireless communications device may include receiving, from a second wireless communication device, one or more signals associated with a beam parameter, determining, at each of a plurality of locations, a signal measurement for at least one received signal of the one or more received signals, and determining, based at least in part on a cumulative distribution of the signal measurements at the plurality of locations and a reference probability distribution, whether the second wireless communication device satisfies an interference condition. Other features are also claimed and described.

Divergence statistical approach for narrow beam-based channel access

Apparatus, methods, and computer program products for L1 or L2 mobility are provided. An example method may include receiving a carrier aggregation (CA) configuration associated with a L1 or L2 mobility configuration from a network node, the L1 or L2 mobility configuration including primary cell (PCell) configurations for multiple cells. The example method may further include receiving at least one activation or deactivation of one of the PCell configurations from the network node.

In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a second UE associated with a sidelink connection with the first UE, assistance information indicating at least part of a first discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration for a radio access link between the first UE and a base station. The UE may receive at least part of a sidelink DRX configuration for the sidelink connection, wherein an on duration of the sidelink DRX configuration is not aligned with an on duration of the first DRX configuration. The UE may transmit information indicating at least part of the sidelink DRX configuration. The UE may receive, from the base station, a second DRX configuration for the radio access link. The UE may communicate in accordance with the sidelink DRX configuration or the second DRX configuration. Numerous other aspects are described.

Techniques for radio access and sidelink discontinuous reception alignment

New radio (NR) transmission opportunity (TxOP) structure having flexible starting points are disclosed for wireless communications. When a typical listen before talk (LBT) procedure is performed, the transmitting node will not know ahead of time when the LBT will pass and, thus, when data transmissions can start. NR systems may include a mini-slot design for accommodating transmission units smaller than a slot. Aspects of the present disclosure provide for flexibly increasing the number of potential starting transmission boundaries depending on when the LBT pass is detected. Alternative aspects of the present disclosure determine the potential starting transmission points using a mini-slot based design, a floating slot based design, or a punctured slot based design with a code block group (CBG) level retransmission mechanism.

NR-unlicensed transmission opportunity structure with flexible starting point

Some aspects described herein relate to receiving a configuration defining resources for transmitting a first message in a two-step random access procedure, wherein the first message includes a random access preamble and a payload, generating a beacon signal for transmitting as the first message, where the beacon signal includes one or more parameters to facilitate discovery by other UEs for pairing in sidelink communications, and transmitting, based on the configuration, the beacon signal as the first message over the resources.

Techniques for performing sidelink discovery in wireless communications

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for a transmission, from a user equipment (UE) to a first distributed unit (DU), of one or more measurement reports including channel measurements of a set of cells associated with a second DU of a same central unit (CU) as the first DU. The UE may transmit the one or more measurement reports according to various reporting format options, including via separate reports for activated and deactivated cells of the second DU, a joint report for activated and deactivated cells of the second DU, or a joint report across a set of DUs including the first DU. The measurement reports may include one or more metrics associated with each cell of a configured cell set and the UE and the DUs of the same CU may activate or deactivate one or more cells for communication with the UE based on the measurement reports.

Techniques for channel measurement reporting across different distributed units (DUS) of a base station (BS)

A method of wireless communication includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE) from a base station, a listen-before-talk (LBT) configuration message indicating whether category 2 (Cat2) LBT operations are enabled or disabled for the UE. The method further includes receiving, by the UE from the base station, a channel occupancy time (COT) message configuring the UE with a COT. The method further includes performing, by the UE, an LBT operation based on the LBT configuration message and based on the COT message.

Category 2 (CAT2) listen-before-transmit (LBT) operations for wireless communications

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a source base station, configuration information for a conditional handover, where the configuration information indicates an execution condition and one or more carrier aggregation configurations associated with one or more candidate base stations, and where the execution condition is based at least in part on at least one of a beam-based measurement or a cell-based measurement and at least one of special cells or secondary cells (SCells) associated with the one or more candidate base stations. The UE may transmit, to a candidate base station of the one or more candidate base stations, a message to initiate the conditional handover based at least in part on the execution condition having been satisfied. Mobility enhancements for conditional handovers and carrier aggregation

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive configuration information indicative of one or more random access channel (RACH) resources for transmitting a RACH message to maintain timing advance (TA) associated with at least one deactivated cell corresponding to a TA group. The UE may transmit a RACH message to a network node corresponding to the at least one deactivated cell, wherein the RACH message is indicative of first TA information associated with the at least one deactivated cell. Techniques for timing advance maintenance for deactivated cells based on a random access channel operation

New radio (NR) power headroom report (PHR) design for millimeter wave (mmWave) deployment is discussed. The power control process for mmWave may include beam-specific periodic PHR reporting and user equipment (UE)-specific event-trigger PHR reporting. The periodic PHR reporting may either provide a single PHR that includes power headroom information for each of the serving beams, or the UE may be configured to measure and report PHR for different beams in different slots. When reporting a single PHR with power headroom information for multiple serving beams, a beam index may be included in the reserved bits of the PHR. For the event-trigger PHR, the PHR reported based on a detected event trigger may provide power headroom information only for the current serving beam, or for all serving beams.
