The present disclosure provides compounds represented by Formula I: and pharmaceutically acceptable salts, solvates, e.g., hydrates, and prodrugs thereof, wherein X and n are as defined as set forth in the specification. The present disclosure also provides compounds of Formula I for use to treat diseases and conditions, e.g., cancer, wherein inhibition of HDAC provides a benefit.

Also disclosed is a method for treating a tumor in a subject, comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a composition comprising a histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor and a composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a Program Death Receptor Ligand 1 (PDL1) inhibitor, a Programmed Death 1 receptor (PD1) inhibitor, or a combination thereof.
