A connecting assembly for connecting a first body and a second body. The first body includes multiple grooves formed on an outside of the first body near a connecting end. The connecting assembly includes a connector. The connector includes multiple connecting segments arranged circumferentially around a central longitudinal axis; and a first jaw formed on an inside of the segments. The first jaw includes multiple teeth. Each tooth includes: a leading side facing an axial center of the connector; a top side; and a trailing side opposite the leading side. A tooth height is measured between a base of the tooth and an intersection between the leading side and the top side of the tooth. At least two of the tooth/groove pairs have a difference between tooth height and groove depth that are different from each other.

Collet-type wellhead connector system

A connecting assembly for connecting a first body and a second body includes a connector having a plurality of segments and a main piston positioned around at least a portion of the connector. The connector includes: a channel that extends longitudinally through the connector from a first end to a second end; a plurality of teeth formed on an inside of the connector near the first end and near the second end; a first jaw formed of at least one teeth near the first end; and a second jaw formed of at least one teeth near the second end and axially spaced apart from the first jaw. Each of the plurality of teeth has a leading side facing an axial center of the connector, a top side, a contact point at a transition between the leading side and the top side, and a trailing side opposite the leading side. The teeth of the second jaw include: a first tooth axially closer to the axial center of the connector than the remaining teeth of the second jaw and an end tooth axially farther from the axial center of the connector than the remaining teeth of the second jaw.

Wellhead connecting assembly

A connector includes a jaw used to connect a connection element and a wellhead designed to better distribute tensions on the contact surfaces of the teeth thereof, including, for example, having contact surfaces with differentiated angles and differentiated spacing, resulting evened tensions on the contact surfaces of the teeth.

A mechanical seal provides bi-directional sealing and comprising a body in hybrid material, being structured in a component of elastomeric material and a component of segmented or non-segmented composite material distributed in a lagged way along said body. The seal is resistant to extrusion failure at high differential pressures, which facilitates its installation in several equipment elements, such as underwater or ground.

Mechanical seal for bidirectional sealing

A metal airtight seal with bidirectional face, self-energizable by pressure, with axisymmetric or non-axisymmetric configuration, has teeth guided at acute angles, both towards the center of the ring and outside, radially. This geometry may provide the airtight seal the characteristic of being self-energizable by fluid pressure and providing bidirectional sealing, both to the internal pressure and to the external pressure. Furthermore, second element of the airtight seal has a course stopper, to limit the deformation of said metal airtight seal. First and third elements of the airtight seal provide the airtight seal high resistance against internal and external pressure, due to the control of radial slacks.

A hydraulic connector type ('Titus') may be used in oil production and extraction operations in the seabed. The hydraulic connector type ('Titus') may be able to provide a connection between cylindrical bodies such as Christmas tree and a wellhead. The hydraulic connector type (&#x201c;Titus&#x201d;) may have a locking system including a hydraulic circuit and the unlocking system has a hydraulic circuit. Additionally, a pre-load adjustment system may be performed through an adjustment ring. The hydraulic connector type (&#x201c;Titus&#x201d;) contains a set of jaws, one actuator hydraulic piston, pressurization chambers, sealing elements, external jacket, bottom cap, adjustment ring and hydraulic fluid lines.

Spring systems for subsea applications and equipment projects for the oil and gas industry are preferably manufactured from composite materials and include at least one pair of springs consisting of a first spring component and a second spring component, mounted so as to offer a first central contact region and double curvature and rebound areas forming a coupling. The pair of springs are thus, self-centering.

Spring system for high workloads

A hydraulic connector type 'Titus', applicable in oil production and extraction operations in the seabed, is able to provide connection between cylindrical bodies (WCT and a wellhead, for example). The locking system has a primary hydraulic circuit and the unlocking system has primary and secondary hydraulic circuits. However, the pre-load adjustment system is performed through the friction self-locking angle, being the parallel locking the mechanism determining to prevent the accidental unlocking of the connector, including when exposed to vibration. The connector has a set of jaws, one main actuator hydraulic piston, pressurization chambers, secondary piston, sealing elements, an external liner, a lower guide, a two-part top cover, attachment screws, a two-part ring, conical surface and hydraulic fluid lines.
