An automotive LED lamp unit includes a plate-like mounting member, LED light sources arranged on two opposite sides of the plate-like mounting member, and a heat sink. The heat sink includes cooling fins and a tapered portion facing the LED light sources and being connected to one end of the plate-like mounting member.

LED lamp unit, in particular for automotive lamps

The present invention relates to a LED lamp unit () comprising at least two LED light sources () arranged between a heat sink () and an electrical connector base at two opposing sides of the lamp unit () to emit in opposed half spaces. The proposed LED lamp unit can be constructed in a very compact form in order to replace known halogen, xenon and incandescent bulbs without changing the construction of the reflector and mechanical parts in a head lamp or signaling lamp.

A lamp comprising a driver assembly, the driver assembly including a driver board with driver electronics, at least one point light source and a heat sink, the heat sink including a top side and a bottom side, a central space extending from the bottom side to the top side and adapted for receiving the driver board of the driver assembly, a zone provided at the top side and adapted for receiving the at least one point light source, wherein a plurality of fins adapted for dissipating heat are extending on opposite sides of the central space, and an extension of the central space in at least one radial direction of the heat sink is larger than an extension of the zone in the radial direction of the heat sink such that the central space is provided with at least one section arranged offset from and radially adjacent to the zone.

A fuse and resistor device for a solid state lighting device, wherein at least a part of the fuse and resistor device embodies a connection pin arranged to be received at a power supply socket. The connection pin comprises an elongated conducting structure, which is partly enclosed by an insulating support structure. The conducting structure comprises a dampening resistor, and the fuse and resistor device further comprises a fuse connected with the dampening resistor either a separate part or as an integral part of the conducting structure.

It is presented a heat managing device for a light source () which combines heat managing by means of a heat sink, heat pipes and forced convection, thereby achieving efficient cooling of high power lighting applications. The heat managing device comprises a heat spreading element () having an upper side arranged for thermally connecting to at least one light source (). The light emitted from the light source is controlled by secondary optics (). The heat managing device comprises a heat sink which is thermally connected to the heat spreader, and to a first set of heat pipes which is thermally connected to the heat spreader. At least a portion of the heat sink is arranged to encompass the secondary optics. The heat pipes are embedded in the heat sink. Further, a fan for providing forced air convection at the heat sink is comprised in the device. A corresponding lighting device is also presented.
